The Minutes of the meetings of June 7th -and 14th.were-read and approved. The following.bills.against the. City, having -been -approved by the Auditing Committee were ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for..the same;John Zillah, $12.50; 1.A.Moreno 10.00; Henry.Barton..$6.00;S-1,111 Bell -Tel. -Co. $23.48; Southwest Power Co. $391.25; W.L.Crouch $50.00;Democrat Printing Co. 16.75;Harry E. Hamilton $7.65; C.A. Moreno $13.90; The Report of the Douglas Street Improvrmenb_District , filed May 31st, was ordered filed. The Ordinance Committee was directed to have prepared an ordinance providing for the pay- ment of the City's pledge to Douglas.Street for the paving of intersections. The Clerk reported the issuance of permits.to.Ralph..Bar.ton; Richard_Falldn; Walter Farmer, and John Gabbard as drivers of.Automobiles.on.the.Streets of the City. Permission to out the pavement.on.Washington_Avenue for the purpose of connecting with the L )n water and sewer mains.was granted to W.S.Duggans, under the supervision of the Mayor and the City Engineer as to bonds and repairs. Alderman Price.introduced an -ordinance providing for.the amendment of Ordinance No. 577, which was read the first time. Alderman Harding moved that the R_:les be suspended and the ordinance placed on its.second reading. This motion.was seconded by Alderman Drake and re- ceived the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phillips,.Price, Drake, Harding, Bynum and Watson* nays none; absent and not voting Alcermen Jones and Scott, and was declared passed by the �4 Mayor. The ordinance was read the second time, and placed on the callended for consideratdo at the next meeting. No further business appearing the Council adjourned to meet Friday June 18th, 1926 at 7;30 P.M. Attest; Approved; Clerk Mayor. ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD JUNE 18th, 1926.
