The members -elect of the

presented the following
report
of the
Board
of Election
Commissioners of
Washington
County, Arkansas; -
Fayetteville, Arkansas,
April 9th, 1826,
TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
We, the undersigned, duly appointed, qualified and acting Board of Election Commis-
sioners of Washington County, Arkansas, do hereby certify that, at the general election
held in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,on Tuesday, April 6th, 1926, the following
persons were elected to the following offices,to-wit;
J.C.Ivlassie, City Clerk for a term of two years;
Geo. A. Hurst, City Attorney for a term of two years;
J.I4,Phillips, Alderman from the First Ward;
Roy A. Scott, 4lderman from the First Ward;,
N.F. Drake, Alderman from the Second Ward;
H.S.Prdice, Alderman from the Second 'Ward;
C.T.Harding, alderman from the Third Ward; ,
Bert Watson, Alderman from the Third Ward;
Virgil L. Jones, Aldefman from the Fourth Ward;
John Bynum, Alderman from the Fourth Ward.
The terms of all the above named Aldermen to be determined by lot, as provided by law.

Whereupon, the Mayor, Allan -M. Wilson administered the Oath of Office to J.C.Massie,
as City Clerk; and to Geo. A.Hurst as City Attorney of the City of Fayetteville, Ark-`

The Aldermen -elect, from the First Ward then drew lots for the long and '+
short terms, the result of which was that Roy A. Scott drew the long term, two years,
and J.M.Phillips drew the shobt term, one year; the Mayor then administeded the oath
of Office to Roy A. Scott, and to J.M.Phillips as Aldermen from the First Ward of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,

terms, which resulted in the selection of N.F.Drake for the term of two ,years and H.S.
Price for the term of one year; the Mayor then administered the Oath of Office the N.F.
Drake and to H.S. Price as Aldermen from the Second Ward, Fayetteville, Arkansas,

The Aldermen -elect from the Fourth Ward then drew lots for the long and the
short terms, which resulted in the selection of John Bynum for the term of two years,
and Virgil L. Jones for the term of one year; the Mayor then administeded the Oath of i
Office to John Bynum and to Virgil L. Jones as Aldermen from the Fourth Ward of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas. :'

On motion by Alderman Price, seconded by Ald rman Drake, the foregoing appointments
were approved, by unanimous vote.

The mayor re -appointed A.E. Collier to be a member of the Board of Public Affairs, and
COLLIER.
on motion by Alderman Jones seconded by Alderman Drake, the appointment was approved.
On motion by Alderman Price, duly seconded and passed, it was ordered by the Council

that hereafter, any member wishing to present any matter to the Council shall stand in his
place and address the Chair, and receive recognition before preceeding with his address.
In the matter of adjusting the sidewalk grade along the South dide of Rock Street,

The City Engineer reported that the expense of the removal of the store building of Mr.
Pearson, requested by the representative of Water Improvement District Number Three, tWould.

on motion duly made and passed,
No further business appearing the Council adjourned.
