CALLED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
HELD FEBRUARY 20th, 1926.
PRESENT: the Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Drake, Mintun, Phillips and Price; absent Aldermen
Harding and Wages.
MINUTES: the reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was deferred.
FIRE ENGINE DAMAGED: the mayor reported that he had sent the pump from the Fire Engine
to the factory for repairs, due to the accidental damage caused by the presence of a
small piece of east iron in the water from the water main.
OFFICE RENT: the mayor was requested to appear before the Board of Managers of the Water
Plant, and to call to their attention the arrangement heretofore agreed on as to the
payment of the room rent in the Court House, and secure a settlement of the same as be-
tween the City and the Water Plant.
CITY PARK SUIT:The Council deferred action as to the course to be taken in this mater
to the meeting of the Council to be held Monday February 22nd.
ANNMUTION: The Budget
Committee
was
asked
to report
as
to the possibility
of property
financing the proposed
annex to
the
City in
view of
the
probable failure of
the Occupa-
tion Tax Ordinance to -pass. This report to be made At the next regular meeting of the
Council.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned.
