Mo PRESENT:I 'Mayor and Clerk and Aldermen Drake, Harding, Mintun,.Phillips, Price, Wages,Absent none. The reading of minutes was deferred to the next'meeting. The City Attorney explained the purpose of the meeting to be the correction of the records of the minutes of March 10, 19240 at page 884 of said records with reference to the passage of Ordinances Ob and of the meeting ' of September 21, 19250 at page 10599 With reference to the passage of Ordinance, 76, Alderman Harding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, Alderman Phillips seconded the motion to adopt, which.received� the following vote: Ayes, Dldermen Drake, Harding,-Mintun, Phillips, price, Wages, *ya none,Absent and not voting none, and was declared adopted by the Mayor, A copy of which -Resolution is as follows: IgT11 "RESOLUTION. WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City ot-Fayetteville, Arkansas, held on the 10th day of Maroh, 1924, the said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, duly passed Ordinance Number 5050 being an Ordinance laying off certain territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, into an Improvement District, for the purpose of improving South College Avenue, from the North line of East Cent& Street to the North line of East Rock Street; East Rook.Street, from the East line of South College Avenue to the Center line of South East Avenue; and West Rock street, from'the Center line of South East Avenue to the nest line of South Block Avenue; East Mountain Street, from the West line of South College Avenue to the hast line of-Jouth`East Avenue; Soiuth East Avenue.' frcm the North line of Rock Street to the 'ouch line of Mountain Street; and hath South Block Avenue, from.the North line of West Hook Street to the ,outh line of West Mountain Street designating the ==bar of the District, defining the boundaries thereof, and taming the same"; and TiBEREASr the minutes of the proceedings of said City Council, prepqred and kept by the duly electeds qualift motionand acting City Clerk of said "ity of Fayetteville, Arkansas.' show each separate made, and the passage secondof said Ordinance, and also the yea and nay vote on the same$ butithisuabb.inadvertances fail to show, and to record the facts thfit said Ordinance was read the time and that said Ordinance was read the third time* and a:+ Ordinance was in fact read three separate and distinct timess under.n of th] rules and by a recording of the yea and nay vote; a a by a statute in such cases made and pr&vided,e NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLES ARKANSAS: SECTION ONE:- That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to correct said minutes, by interlineation, and make them -speak the truth, by showing that said Ordinance Nunber 605 was read the second time and that said Ordinance was read the third time. SECTIOft TWO:- That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and ep- proval. Passed and approved this 19th day of January, 1926. Hamilton to out the curb on "ashington Avenue adjacent to his property fdr the purpose of building a driveway.. Work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. This motion =a received the unanimous vote of the Council and was declared passed by the Mayor. , On motion the "ouncil adjourned to meet at 7:30 P. M., January 19, 1926. ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD JANUARY 19th, 1926 Pursuant to adjournment of the meeting of the City Council held January 18, 1926, and of the pi��#ncalled meeting of said Council held January 19th at 4 o'clock P.M., the Council met at 7;30 P.M. of January 19th, 1926. PRESENT; The Mayor, Clerk, Aldermen Drake, Harding, Phillips, Price, Wages; absent Alder ' man Mintun. MINUTES: The Minutes of the two previous meetings.were read and approved. Motor Patrolman Wilson, having represented to the Council that he was unable to maintain his Motor cycle,buy gas Oil and repairs and support his family on his salary,.and the , Council benig convinced that such was the case, Alderman Price moved that the Salary of said Patrolman be increased to $125.00 per month, said increase to be effective from February ¢st, 1926...Alderman Drake seconded the motion which eceived the following vote ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding, Phillipe, Price, Wages; nays noes; absent and not voting Alderman Mintun, and was declared passed by the Mayor. MAYOR CALLED AWAY: At -.this -time Mayor Wilson was called away, to make preparation for his trip to Little Rock to attend the Convention of Mayors to be held in said City on January, 20th,1926.
