PRESENT: Mayor, Clerk, Alderman Drake, Harding, Phillips Price, Wgges, Minutes of the two preceding meeting were read and approved. The following bills and accounts against the City having been approved by the Auditing Cammrire were on motion by Alderman wages seconded by Alderman Phillips, ordered paid and the clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same: Jim Mitbhell $18.00; Andrew Munds $24.00; John Zillah $9.90; Ferguson Lumber Co. $8.76; Southwest rower Cc. $6.00. ' A petition f r relief in the matter of crater and sewer connections signed by residents of Oakland Place. was presented to the Council. On motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman wages, the Clerk was direcred to communicate with the Sewer Commissioners add the Board of Managers of the City water Plant and submitted to them the aforedgid petition, asking that they give the ,matter careful attention. Alderman Drake 6$aftman of the Finance Committee deposited with the City Clerk the deposit slips for the City Funding Account showing credit of $73,413.04 r the proceeds of the bonds and a credit of $123.03 refund from.the Arkansas National Bank. Alderman Price moved that the Mayor be authorized and directed to attend the Convention of Mayors it Little Rock to be held on the 20th of January, 1926. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council. Alderman Wages moved that the hearing on City Park second Petition be continued to January 26, 1926 at , 7:30 P. M. Alderman Harding seconded the motion.whioh received the following vote: ayes Aldermen ' Drake, Harding# Phillips, Price, Wages, nays none, absent and not voting Alderman Mintun, and was de- clared passed by the Mayor. On motion b$p Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Drake and passed by unanimous tote of the Council the Mayor was directed to appoint a committee of three who in connection with the Engireer should draft a plan ' for annexing certain territory to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Mayor appointed the following as such Committee: Alderman Phillips from lot WardV alternate Alderman Mintun; Alderman Drake from 2nd Ward, alternate Alderman wages; Alderman Harding from 3rd Ward," alternate Price. On motion by Alderman Phillips, seconded by Alderman Harding, the Mayor was authorized to megotiate. for the purchase of a Marking Machine for street marking. Machine to be, purchased on trial. On motion by "lderman Drake, seconded by Alderman Harding, the City Engineer was instructed to seoure'bide for correcting and making uniform the grades at the intersectiongof Forrest Avenue and La Fayette Street, e- The city Attorney reported that the Sewer c�.issioners have made arrangements for the/lssessment of the Sewer District and that the work will.be pushed through.as..rapidly as possible. On motion the Council adjourned to meet Tuesday_night,January 19, 1926.at 7:30 P. M. The City Attorney explained the purpose of the meeting to be the correction of the records of the minutes of March 10, 1924, at page 884 of said records with reference to the passage of Ordinance�605 and of the meeting ' of September 21, 19252 at page 10590 with reference to the passage of Ordinance 76. Alderman Harding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, Alderman Phillips seconded the motion to adopt, whic received the following vote: Ayes, DIdermen Drake, Harding,.Mintun, Phillips, price, Wages, Aays none,t4bsent and not voting none, and was declared adopted by the Mayor, A copy of which -Resolution is as follows: Imo✓ -IgTv "RESOLUTION.
