Also furnish five copies to the Cityfor their use for the sum of $500.00 ' This is understood to include the establishing of the grades of streets in Annex Number One to Sewer Improvement District Number One. Respectfullypubmitted, E.M.Ratliff. Alderman Drake moved that the foregoing proposition be accepted. Alderman Wages secobded the motion which received the following vote;.ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding, Phillips, Price, Wages, nays none; absent and not voting, Alderman Iviintun, and was declared passed by the Mayor. SIDEWALK Alderman Price moved that the City Clerk be instructed and directed to issue the necessary legal notices to property,owners along the North side of Maple Stueet, between Walnut and Willow Avenues to construct sidewalks along their respect ive properties. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding. Phillips, Price, Wages; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Mintun, and wasX dealared passed by the Mayor. The City Engineer reported that -the necessary grading for the sidewalks mentioned above will cost about $85.00. SCHOOL STREET CURBS AND GUTTERS: The City Attorney was instructed to take the necessar legal proceedings to enforce the order for the construction of Curbs aid gutters along School Avenue between Center Street and Dickson Street. ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD JANUARY 13th, 1926. PRESENT: The, Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Drake, Harding, Phillips, Price, Wages; absent Alderman Wintun. MINUTES of the previous meeting were not read, being deferred to the Regular meeting. ' Alderman Drake submitted a " form" for requisition voucher, which was approved, and adopted, and ordered printed. The Clerk was directed to write the American LaFrance Fire Engine Co. and the Eureka Fire Hose Co. asking for propositions to discount the City Warrants held by them. Also to write the Commissioners of Willow Avenue Improvement District with reference to ' their note to the City. Alderman Drake as Chairman of the Finance Committee submitted his report in the matter of the redemption of outstanding•City warrants from the proceeds "of the sale of the City Funding Bonds. Alderman Drake 9$atbman of the Finance Committee deposited with the City Clerk the deposit slips for the City Funding Account showing credit of $73,413.04 : r the proceeds of the bonds and a credit of $123.03 refund from the Arkansas National Rank. Alderman Price moved that the Mayor be authorized and directed to attend the Convention of Mayors it Little Rock to be held on the 20th of January, 1926. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council. The Mayor appointed the following as such Committeee Alderman Phillips from let Warcli alternate Alderman Mintun; Alderman Drake from 2nd Ward, alternate Alderman wages; Alderman Harding from 3rd Ward, alternate Price. on motion by Alderman Phillips, seconded by Alderman Harding,, the Mayor was authorized to megotiate. for the purchase of a Marking Machine for street marking. Machine to be purchased on trial. on motion by 'Iderman Drakev seconded by Alderman Hardings the City Engineer was instructed to s6ouro'bida for correcting and making uniform the grades at the iritersecti'onqof Forrest Avenue and La Fayette Street.
