PRESENT: The Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Drake, Harding, Phillips, Peice, Wages; absent Alderman F;intum. MINUTES of the previous meeting were read and approved. 1 BILLS: The following bills against tbhe City, having been approved by the Audditing Committee were presented to the Council for payment. The Board of Assessment of Annex Number One to North College Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, filed the assessment Roll of said District with the City Clerk, Alderman Harding introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption. This motion was seconded by Ald rman Price and received the following vote; ayes Ald rmen Drake, Harding, Phillips, Price, Wages; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman I+iintun, and was declared passed by the Mayor. Bates, as the Board of Assessment of Annex 9)4KX Number One y1X/,t`j11 to North College Avenue Improve ent District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,did on the 19th day of October, 1925 , deposit with the City Clerk of the Ci#y of Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Assessment Roll of Annex Number One to North College Avemue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayettetille, Arkansas,duly subscribed by each of them; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, -ARKANSAS: SECTION ONE: That the City Clerk of the.City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be, and he is hereby requ ired to publish in the Fayetteville Democrat,a daily newspaper published in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a notice, stating that said.Assessment has been so filed, by said Board of Assessment, and that the same is now subject to inspection. Appeal of SECTION TWO: Tha all resolutions in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed,and this resolution shall take effect 110 and be in force from and after its passage and approval. Wilson, Mayor, The Magnolia Petroleum Co. presented a petition asking permission to lower, at their'own expense, the sidewalk on West Lafayett Avenue near the intersection with West Avenue. This petition was referred to the Mayor and City Engineer with instructions to investigate and report at the next regular meeting of the Council. The Appeal of Dixie Baldwin from the assessment in Douglas Street Improvement District was presented and October 26 11vas set as the date of the hearing on the same. The Clerk was directed to so notify the Assessors of the said D istrict. The Re- assessments of Mont Nord. Improvement District and of University Improovemant District w ere filed. Alderman Harding moved that the City Attorney be directed ti investigate the matter of making re -assessments in the various Improvement Districts of the City. Marshall, On motion by Alderman Harding seconded by alderman ."loges and passed by the unanimous vote of the members present, the Chairman of the Street Committee was diredted to investigate the opening of a short street from Lafayett Street to the property of Mr. Black on the R.R.cut, Mr. Aum6ck asked permission to out the pavement on South School Avenue. This matter was referred to the Mayor and the City Engineer, with power to act, and to fix the bond for repairs and maintenance. Aldermanttivloved that the Clerk be directed to cause to be published a notice that a hearing for the purpose of determining whether the Second Petition for the formation of Water Improve- ment District Number Two contained the signatures of the majority in value of the owners of D real property within said District on the 2nd day of November, 1925. ' � On motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Aldrman Drake, the Clerk was directed to request the Board of Health to make an investigation of the condition of the well water in City Park, and report their finding tb the City Council. ' Alderman Phillips moved that the Mayor and the City Inspector be a utholriized to have 500 copies of the City Building Ordinance published in pamphlet form.
