PRESENT
The Mayor, Clerk, Aldermen Drake, Harding, Mintun, Phillips, Price, Wages,
Minutes;
Reading deferred to next meeting.
' REPORTS:
Street Sweepers reported an average of 18 blocks.per day for the week. AldermanMintun
moved that the accounts of the Street Sweepers and the Bills listed below be paid and the
Clerk directed to issue warrants for the same..This motion was duly seconded by Alderman 'flages
and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Harding, Mintun, Phillips, Price Wages; absent a
' and riot voting Alderman Drake, and was declared passed by the Mayor, The accounts and Bills

SIDMrJALK GRADES:
The City Engineer wqa directed to establish grades for sidewalks on Highland
at W.G.Ownbeyls; on Davidson at Dr. Leathers on Maple at Bates place, unless such grades were
already made.
NORTH COLLEGE AVENUE:
A project for paving North College Avenue to the City Limits was presented
by B.F.Davidson, who was assured of the hea.rt'y cooperation of the City Council,
ANNUAL REPORT;
T.L.Hart presented the annual reports of the Board of Improvement of East Street
Improvement District and Annexes Aiumber One and Two, which were ordered filed.
' Dr. A.S.Gregg filed a report on the sanitary condition of the restaurants in the City,
showing that the same were clean and sanitary.
Alderman Drake entered at this time.
APPROPRIATION:
Alderman Harding moved that the.sum of $40.00 or so much thereof as maybe
necessary be appropriated out of the General Fund of the City to defray the expenses of the
Chief of Police on a trip to Eldorado and other points to study the matter of Traffic Control.
This motion was seconded by Alderman Mintun and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen
Drake, Harding, Mintun, Phillips, Price, Wages; nays none; and was declared passed by the
ma lor.
ORDINANCE:
An Ordinance establishing a Building Code for the City was introduced by Alderman Wages
and read the first time. Alderman Wages then moved that the Rules be suspended and the Ordinance
placed on its second reading. This motion was seconded by .Aderman Harding and received the
following vote; ayes Aldermen Drake, Hardimg, Mimtun Phillips, PrIce, Wages; nays none; absent
and not voting none and was declared passed by the Mayor. The Ordinance was read the se Gond
time, and passed for further consideration aj; the next meeting of the Council.
REPAIRS ON HILL AND SCHOOL:
Alderman Phillips moved that the City Engineer be diredted to confer
with the Commissioners of Hill Street And School Street as to immediate repairs of the paving
of said Streets, This motion was seconded by Alderman Wages and was passed by the unanimous vote
of the Council.

Alderman Ydages moved that the Ordinance creating said
Improvement Dis1riet be placed on its third reading and final passage; this motion was seconded.
by Alderman Harding and received the following vote, ayes Ald•-rmen Drake, Harding, Mintun, P illip
Price, Wages; nays none absent and not voting none and was declared passaed by the Mayor.
The Ordinance was read the third time. The mayor then announced that the question before the

WHEREAS: At a meeting of the City Coundil of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, held on the 14th day
of September; 1925, a petition signed by more than ten owners of real property within the District
herein after cescribed in Section One of this Ordinance, was presented to said Council, asking that
it take all necessary steps, {sass all necessary Ordinances, Resolutions, or Orders, to form an Imp-
rovement District for the purpose of constructing and maintaining an adequate water system for the
benefit of property owners within said Destrict, as may be more fully determined by the Board of
Improvement for said District, to -wit;

Minutes; The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and approved.
REPORTS:The reports of the Police Judge and the City Collector were presented and on motion w

HEARING..ON:ANNEX NO.ONE TO NORTH COLLEGE AVENUE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. ONE.
The mayor announced that the time for the hearing to determine whebher the petition for 1 ,
creating Annex No. One to North Clllege Avenue Improvemenb District Nomber One of the City of
Fayetteville, Had arrivedand that the hearing will now be had. After all persons desiring to
be heard had been so heard, Alderman Harding introdt}ced the following resolution and moved its
adoption. This motion was seconded by Alderman Price and received the following vote; ayes '
Aldermen Harding, Mintun, Phillips, Price, Wages; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman
Drake, and was declared passed by the Mayor; -
RESOLUTION:
`WHEREAS, a petition claiming to represent a majority in value of the owners, of real property
on East Spring Street from the East line of North College Avenue to the West line of Willow
Avenue,was duly filed with the City Council.of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, on the 31st
day of August, 1925,asking that said property be created into an Improvement District to be
known as Annex Number One to North College Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
