The clerk reported that the.re-assessment of West Lafayette Improvement District Num.
ber One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was filed in his office on the 19th day oft September, 1925, and that
he had publised Notice ,thereof, stating that the same was.subject to inspection.
ANNUAL STATEMENTS:
On motion by Alderman Wages, seconded by Alderman Harding and passed by the Unanimous vote of the
members present the Clerk,was directed to publish a notice calling on all Boards of Improvement to file their
annual repoets, and'to di%ct their Boards of Assessors to re -assess the properties in the various Street Improvemen
Districts of the City.

Sebtion One. That X)IW Section Two of Ordinande 490 be amended to read as follows:
A metal sign shall be placed on the surface of the street, asnear the center as possible, with either the
word "stop" or"Slow" painted thereon in letters that can be plainly and easily seen. These signs, -together with
such other appropriate markings that mpy bethought necessary, shall. be placed at or near an.intersecting street.
When an intersection is so marked and designated, the Stop or Boulevard system shall be duly established at

such intersection."
Section two. That Section 3 of Ordinance 490 be amended to read as follows:
" all vehicles of wharsoever kind, motor driven or otherwise, shall come to a complete and acr�ual'stop before
proceeding beyond the metal sign marked "Stop", as -designated in Section Two of this Ordinance. All vehicles of
whatsoever kind, motor driven or otherwise, shall not exceed the rate of six miles per hour when passing the
metal sign marked "Slow", as designated in Section Two of this Ordinance. The word vehicle as used in this Or- j
dinance is meant to include and does include any and.all types, classes or kinds of both motor=driven and horse
driven vehicles; horses and all other live stock, whether led, ridden or driven."

AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED, " AN'riORDINANCE TO REQUIRE PROJECTING LOADS ON
VEHICLES TO BE MARKED BY ELAG OR LIGHT."
BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council pf the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
Section One. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle ofer any public street

within the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,. with any. load or projection that shall extend more than
four feet from the rear of such vehicle, unless such projection shall be designated with a red.light.
during the period from sunset to one hour before sunrise, and with a red flag, not less than two feet
square, during the daylight heurse £lag,or light, to be firmly attached.to the end of the pro-
(1 jection furthest from the vehicle, and so placed as to be plainly and easily seen.
Section Two. In the event any such projection, as designated in the foregoing section, shall extend in
front of any vehicle, the same shall be designated as above provided.
I� Section Three. Any person siolating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor; and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than one dollar nor more
than twenty-five dollars for each Offense.

Section Three, ediately after the passage, approval and prblicstion of this Ordinance, the Mayor of
`the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, shall apoint, for a term of two years, a board for the examination
of Plumbers and drain layers, whose duties shall be hereinafter defined; Said board shall consist of
three members, as follows:(1) The Plumbing Inspector, who shall be ex -officio chairman, (2)'one Master
Plumber, and (3) one journeyman Plumber- each of the latter two membersof which board shall have been
a resident citizen of Fayetteville, Arkansas, for at least one year before his appointment, and who
shall have been actively engaged at the trade of business of plumbing for a period of not less than
years.

WHEREAS, there has been formed and created within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, a certain Improvement District,known as North.Leverett Avenue Improvement District Number
One of the City of Fayetteville, APkansas;
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Fayetteville to aid in XXXconatructing and maintaining;.er-
permanent.str.eets, constructed under the improvement district plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has assumed part of the expense of improving streets in other
improvement districts;
^NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY.OF FAYETTEVILLE* ARKANSAS:
Section One: that there is hereby appeopriated.out of.the General Fund.of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, the sum of Four. Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars, to be used by the Board of Commissionres of
North Leverett Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, in per-
manently paving the intersections of all.streets within..said_Improvement District and otherwise im
proaing the same.
Section Two.: That the City Clerk :of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be, and he hereby is, au-
thorized and directed to draw five warrants,of equal amounts, in favos of whomsoever said Board of
Commissioners may designate, and at such times as said Board may request, not to exceed in the ag-
gregate, however, the sum of Four,Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars. Said Five warrants shall be drawn
serially, so that one warrant shall become due and payable each year after date of issue.
Section Three: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, appr
approval and publication.
