Present and presiding theIvtayor; the Cler k, Aldermen Drake, Harding, Ivlintun,Phillips, Price; Wages, The minutes ofX the previous meeting were read and approved. The report of the Street Sweepers was received and ordered filed and the Clerk was direct- ed th issue warrants to Jim Mitchell for 018.00; ad to redrew Munds for ?24.00. The report of the City Clerk for' the period April 13 to July 31 was received and referred to the Auditing Committee. On motion by Alderman Harding, secondee,d by Alderman Phillips, and passed by the unani- mous vote of the Council the following bilis against the City were allowed and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the Same; - Bills; John Zillah $85.00; Fayetteville L.& C. Co. g1.00;Thomas & SOn .'tO,75;Wallace & Priest $2.50; Heewagen Bros. Co. :,7.60{; Democrat Pub, Co. 013.35; Southwest Bell Tel, Co. 08.35;Harry E. Ha ' Hamilton 845.59; Gibson Oil Co, 012.00;Frambers & Swafford $300.00; Southwest Power Co. 524.20; ft the re uest of 0.17.Winklemsn,and on motion by Alderman Price seconded by Alderman Harding and passed by the unanimous vote of th e Council, the City Engineer was directed to establish the grade for a sidewalk along the East side of .Vinkleman's property on Church Street Alderman Harding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. This Motion was seconded by Alderman Price and received the follo:ving vote; ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding, Mintun, Phillips, Price, .7ages; nays none; absent and not voting none and was declared passed by the Idayor and the resolution adopted;- 'i:1HEREAS, there is a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Improvement for North College Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, by reasom of the death of J.C.Vhite; B6 IT, RESOLV:3D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILL3? ARKANSAS: That J.H.Phipps be and he is hereby appointed to be a member of the Bard of Improvement for North College Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayeteville, Arkansas; and that all resolutions in comflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, and this resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. A. Hurst,and members.of the Council, but definite action in the ma er w was postponed to a later meeting. No further business appearing the Council adjourned to Lngust 17th, 1925.
