The Mayor, Clerk, Aldermen. Phillips, Drake.. Price, Jones,. Scott and Watson; absent Alder-
men Harding and Bynum.
Minutes of the meeting of May 24th, 1926 were read and approved;
The following bills against the City, having been approved by the Auditing.Committee were
allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was.direeted_to issue warrants for the same;
Democrat Publishing Co. $26.49;J.W.Shelley. $11.00;Henry Barton $7.50;Allan M. Wilson $10.0

Permits were allowed to Frank Davis and Oscar Gatlin to drive automobiles on the steeets
of Fayetteville,subject to the approval of the Chief of Police.
Bids were received from Dave condra and from -Ed -Malone for cleaning the paved streets, anal
on motion duly made and passed the mayor was.directed to contract with the low bidder; the j
bid of Condra was $6.00 per day and of Malone $7.00 per day.

City of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
Gentlemen;
Your Board of Commissioners of Annex.Number One to North College Avenue Im-
provement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, have employed E.M.
Ratliff to prepare plans and make estimates of cost for a pavement, including the necessary.
curbing and other necessary work for constructing the.pavement.within Annex Number One to

Nprth College Avenue Improvement District Number One.of the City of.Fayetteville, Arkansas,

on East Spring Street from the East line of North College.Avenue to the West line of Wil-
low Avenue.
Based upon the report of our engineer,ive have decided to construct a pavement, from
curb to curb as the curbs now exist, of 6 -inch concrete with marginal re -enforcing bars.
The plans together with the profile grade line is'submitted herewith for your consider-
ation. i'
The estimated cost of the work,as shown by the plans, and as specified herein,based on
the report of our engineer,is $8,014.43.
We request your Honorable Body to appoint a Board of Assessment to assess the benefits
to be received by each parcel of real estate within said District.

Mayor declared the motion passed and the resolution..adopted..A.copy is as_followse-
RESOLUTION.
APPROVAL OF PLANS.
WHEREAS, at a meeting of the City Council of the City of..Fayetteville, Arkansas, held on
the 31st day of May. 1926, there was presented to said.City Council.by_Geo. Appleby, Bert
Watson and J.H.Phmpps, their report as the Board of....Improvement..of. Annex Number One of to
North College Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
together with the plans and specifications of the work to.be done in the construction of
the contemplated improvement in said Improvement District; and
WHEREAS, said report was read in open meeting of said Council, and the said pland and speci
fications were exhibited to the said Council and to eacnh member thereof, with a full and
complete explanation.of all the details thereof, and
WHEREAS,,it appears from said plans and said specifications that the estimated cost of con-
struction of said improvement,exclusive of interest charges but inclusive of contingencies
is the sum of $8,014.43, and the said Council being satisfied that that said plans will
best subserve the purpose of said Improvement District,and.that.the same are correct;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the said Plans and specifications be and.the same.are.hereby approved and adopted,and
that said improvementbe constructed according.to said plans -and -specifications, and at a
cost not to enceed, exclusive of interest charges the sum of $8,014,43.
Passed and approved this 31st day of May, 1926.

BE IT.RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That H.C.Evins, W.E.Graham and J.R.Bates, three qualified.electors of -the City of Fay-
etteville, Arkansas, be, and they are hereby appointed..as.the Board of Assessment of Annex

Arkansas; that all resolutions and parts

On motion it was ordered that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance
providingforthe amendment of the Ordinance fixing the fees of the City Inspector, and
the ordinance regulating the size of buildings within the City,
On motion the bills of C.A.Moreno against the City were refered.to Alderman Phillips
BILLS
for investigation, in conference with Henry Barton;- to report at next regular meeting.
No further business appearing, the Council adjournedp subject to call.
