On motion b} Alde rman Wsges,seconded b Alderman Idintunand duly carried, Alderman Hard-
ing was chosen President pro tempore.
The reading of the minutes of the previous meetings was deferred to the next regular meeti ,
ing•The report of.the Street Commissioner for the week ending April 18th, 1925 was read, and
on motio:: was ordered filed.
Alderman Idintun moved that the payroll of the Street laborers for the two-week period end-
ing April 25th,1925 be paid and the Clerk directed t6 issue warrants for the same.Aldrman ,
Wages seconded the motion which received the following vote; _yes Alderman Hardii1g, Mintun, Ph
Phillips, Price, Awges; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Drake, and was declared pass
ed by the President pro tem.
PAYROLL:
Charles Wilcox w6.00; D.C.Condr_ $48.00; Jim Mitchell X36.00.
Alderman Phillips moved thatX the following bills be allowed and the Clerk directed to
issue warrants for the same;Alderman ':iages seconded the motion which received the following vo
vote; ayes Aldemmen Harding, Mintun, Phillips, Price, W ges; nays none, absent and not voting ,
Alderman Dr ke and was declared passed by the President proptem.
BILLS:
YI.H.Rollins, Stamps $11.00; 19ages Brothers Construction Co. $63.37; and�p136.34; Lucy B. Smith
$1,78; W.A.Gregg, for two special police ;8.00
J.W.Webb applied for an extension of time in which to construct the sidewalk on the west
side of his property on University Street On motion duly put and passed this request was
granted.
Alderman Mintun moved that the Clerk be directed to issue the necessary legal order for th
construction of sidewalks alon the North side of Maple Street from '.Jest Street to"Frisco"
Street; and along the South side of Maple Street from West Street to Arkansas Avenue.This
motion was secohded by Alderman Phillips and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Hard-
ing, Mintun, Phillips, Price, Wagr3s; nays none. absent and not voting Alderman Drake, and
was declared p..ssed b;) the President pro tem.
The bids for City Depository were opened by the Clerk in the presence of the Council and
were as follows; -

Alderman Mintun moved thatthe bid of the First National Bank of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be ,
accepted, and th A said Bank be designated as tge depository of the City Funds for the ensu-
ing two years. Alderman Phillips seconded this motion which rec-ived the following vote; ayes
Aldermen Harding, Nintun, Phillpps, Price, Wages; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Hr
Drake, and was declared passed by the President pro tem.
Alderman Phillips moved that the hearing on the appeal of Mrs Sutton from the Assessment
in West Mountain Street Improvement District Number One be set for Monday, May 4th, 1925.
Alderman Price seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Ald rmen Hardin ,
Mintun, Phillips, Price, Wages; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Drake, and wasX
declared passes by the President pro tem.
On motion duly put and c_.rried the matter of constructing a sidewalk along the property of
Mr. Hale on West Dicksoh Street was referred to the Street Committee with instructions to repo
report at the next regilar m::eting of the Council.
