Aid ORDINANCE TO BE :NTITLED AN ORDINANCE TO FURTHER :aIEND SECTION ONE
OF ORDINANCE IIUruBER FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE (455),PASSED AND APPROVED JUNG; 27th, 1922".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH.t' CITY OF FAYLTTEVILLL,ARKANSAS:
SECTION ON
-•�� That. Section One (1), of Ordinance Number Four hundred Fifty-five(455),passed and
proved June 27th,1922,and the amendments thereto, be further amended to read as follows,

/ "All vehicles parking on the Public Square shall do so by heading into the curb, on
Y1� the right hand side of the street in the direction in which the vehicle is going, at an angle
of forty-five (45) degrees. '
Upon all other streets within the City of Fayetteville, X/490/. except the Public Square
all vehicles shall park on the, right side of the street, in the direction in which such vehicl
is going, parallel with ty/�c3d}y and not to exceed on foot from the curb. All vehicles so park
l Ing on all streets of the City of Fayetteville,including the Public Square, shall do so as
indicated by the painted traffic lines on such street or Public Square.
SECTION `i",:0:
That this Ordinance be in force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication,and all Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be, and the same are '
hereby repealed.

On motion duly put and. unanimously carried, and so declared by the Mayor, the Clerk was
directed to place on the Payroll of the Fire Department the namse of Will Poor, at $100.00
per month, and Allen Strain at $50.00 per month, effective as of February lst, 1925; and to
issue warrants for the said amounts.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned to L4__rch 16$h, 1925.

Vi.hi.Harris applied for a permit to build or repair a wooden garage and to make a small
addition to the residence at 117 College Avenue. Alderman Harding moved that the permit be,
granted, Alderman Phillips seconded this motion which received the following vote; ayes
Aldermen Harding, Jackson, idintun, Phillips; nays Alderman Drake,; Absent and not voting Ald-
erm_n Price, and was declared passed by the Mayor
On motion by Alderman Mintun, seconded by Aldorman Jackson and carried by the unanimous vote.

D.R.Bigger, Lumber Yard on West Spring Street;
Joe Ward, Retail Ice and -Ice Cream Plant at Lot 1, Block 2, Original Town;
Kinney Armstrong, Residence on West Spring Street, also a small black -smith shop on the
alley, just off West Spring Street.
' Alderman Harding moved that Smelser And Eason, Lessees of the City Wagon
Yard be authorized to sublease to the Gibson Oil Co. that part of said Wagon
Yard now occupied by a Black -smith Shop, on the South side of the Yard, and
an additional ten feet extending North of the North wall of said Black-
' smith Shop, for a period not to extend beyond the life of the present lease
held by the City, which said lease terminates on the 1st day of Apri1,1927.
Alderman Drake seconded the motion, which received the following vote; ayes Alderman
Drake, Harding, Jackson, Mintun, Phillips; nays none; absent and not voting
Alderman Price, and was declared passed by the Mayor.
Alderman Phillips moved that the City engineer be authorized to contract for the con-
struction of an extension of the culvert on mast Spring Street between Fletcher Avenue and
Olive Street. This motion was seconded by Alderm n Mintun and received the following vote;
ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson, Mintun, Phillips; nays none; absent and not voting Alder's
man Price, and was declared passed by the Mayor.

The undersigned members of the Board of Public Affairs of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, herewith request authority to advertise for bids and to award a
contract for five (5) casings and tubes for the small American A1France Fire xngine now in
service in the Fayetteville Fire Department. Included in the authority to purchase the casings
and tubes, we also ask the aut4ority to make the necessary changes in the present wheels,
(to pay) express charges on the same and rental ///Y/eef service wheels while the change is
bung made, aj a total cost of th antire work of a sum not to exceed $650.00.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the Gity of Fayr$teville, Arkansas;
SECTION ONE:
That the Board of Public :£fairs of the City of Fayetteville, Ark�nsas,are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to advertize for sealed bids and to award a contract for �
the purchase of five (5) pneumatic tires,complete with inner tubes, for the American LaFrance
Fire engine in service in the Fire.Department.
SECTION TWO:
Included in the authority to award a contract for said tires, the Board of Public Aff-•
fairs is further authorized to make the necessary contracts for the changes to be made in the wh-
wheels of the truckafter the pneumatic tires are attached.
SECTION THREE:
That the total cost of the change complete shall not exceed the sum of $650.00.
Six Hundred Fifty Dollars.
SECTION FOUR:
That this Ordinance shill be in force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication,and all Ordinances. or parts thereof in conflict herewith be and the

SECTIONTHREE:
Any person, persons, firm,or corporation who 'wish to }dyijg construct, build or
moveor repair a building within the limits of the Fite Dmtrict as specified in Section One
of this Ordinance shall do the same in strict accordance with the Building Code as adopted i'
by the City council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,and only in this event; and a
special permit to build,construct move or ra.)pair such structure has been given by the City
Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
SECTION FOUR: `
Any person, persons, firm or corporation who shall build,construct, repair or
moveany building of any kind in violation of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shallfined in the sum of $15.00 for such offense. 1
SECTION FIVE:
:Wath twenty-four hours that any building or structure moved or erected in viola-
tion of this Ordinance shall be allowed to stand shall be and the same is hereby declared to
a separate offense.
