•Alderman Harding moved that in as much as the Office of Police Judge of the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, has become vacant be reason of the death of Judge W.F.Stirman,and the
unexpired term of said Office is less than six months, W.H.Rollins be appointed to fill the
said unexpired•term:=This motion was seconded by AldermanJackson and received the following
vote; ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson, Mintun, Phillips and Price; naye nuue; absent
and not voting, none and was declared passed by the President pro tem
Alderman Harding moved that Mr.. Alpha Goss be employed to assist the Superintendent of the
Light Plant to discover and correct the fault in the Light cable on the North side of Dickson
Street. This motion was seconded by Alderman. Jackson and received the following vote; ayes
Aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson, Phillips, Price and was declared passed by the President pro
tem.
The Council then adjourned to Januaryl2th,1925.

Alderman Harding moved that the payroll of the street laborers be paid and the Clerk d4aa

hlderm.n Phillips and read the first time. lderman Phillips then moved that the Rules be
su pendee and the 0 dinance placed on its second reading. this motion was seconder. )Ty Ald-

Alderman O&X# introduced an Ordinance levying the assessment in Wall Street Improvement
District Number One which was read the first ttime. Alderman Harding moved that the Rules b-,
be suspended and the Ordinance placed on irs second reading. Thbs motion was seconded by Ald
erman Drake and received the follosing vote; ayee Aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson, Mintun,
Phillips, Price nays none; absent and not voting none and was declared passed by the Mayor.
The Ordinance was read the decond time. Alderman Jackson moved that the Rules be further sus
pended and the Ordinance placed on its third reas.ing and final passage. This motion was seco-
onded by Alderman Mintun and received the following vote ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding,
Jackson, Mintun, Phillips, Price; nays none; absent nd not voting none, and was declared
passed by the Mayor. The Ordinance was read the third time. The Mayor then called for the v -e
