SECTION SEVEN; That no license issued under this ordinance shall be transferred,except by the consent of the City Council of.the City of.Fayetteville,, Arkansas,and no license shall be trans £erred in any event more than once, and never from one business to another. Si-CTION EIGHT; Any person, firm.or Corporation or agent thereof, violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the police court of the City, shall be fined in any sum not less than the amount of the license provided for in the section violated, nor more than double such amount for each offense, and e each day of.said violation shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION NINE: Each license shall be posted in a conspicuous place where such business or co corporation is carried on and the holder of such license shall immediately show the same to any officer of the City, upon being requested to do so. SECTION TELT: Should any section or provision of this ordinance be for any reason held void or invalid,it shall not affect the validity of any other section or provision theremf, which is not itself void or invalid. SECTION ELEVEN: This ordinance shall not repeal provisions for licenses contained in ordina nances previously adopted,except as expressly shown herein. SECTION T172LVE: The City Council may by unanimous consent thereof, all present, for the ' purpose of charity, or when it is shown that the public good requires it,reduce or remit the whole,or any part of the license imposed by this ordinance. SECTION THIRTEEN:This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after January 1, 1925. Passed and approved this 27 day of October, 1924. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The reports of the police Judge and the City Collector and that of the Fire Chief were referred to the Auditing Committee. The report of the Street Commissioner was ordered filed. Alderman Jackson seconded by Alderman Phillips, moved that the payroll.of the street laborers and the bills listed below be paid and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants for the same; this motion received the unanimous affirmative vote of the members present and 1,1as de- ' clared p.ssed by the Mayor.
