Present; the Mayor, Clerk, Aldermen Drake, Hintun, Phillips, Price; absent Aldermen
Jackson and Harding.
The :.udiding Committee returned the reports of the Police Judge and the City Collector
which on motion duly put and carried were ordered filed.

The :,uditing Committee returned the following bills against the City with therecommenda-
tion that they be allowed, On motion by Alderman Mintun seconded Ahd,t the bills listed below
be paid and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants for the same,which motion received the iv
following vote; Ayes Aldermen Drake I.Iintun ,Phillips, Price; Nays none absent and not voting
Aldermen Harding and jackson, and declared passed by the Elayor,it wqs so ordered; -

' On request of Bruce Holcomb, J.C.Massie and C.O.Lollar the City Engineer was instructed t
to establish a grade for sidewalks on University Street and on 'East Spring Street,
Alderman Price introduced an ordinance providing for an occupation tax in the City of
Fayetteville, which was read the first time, and made the special order of business at a
meeting to be held on the 17th day of September, 1924.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned to the 15th day of Sept.: 1924.

and not voting Aldemman Harding was alloyed and the Clerk was instructed to issue a warraA
for the same.

votiai Alderm n Harding, the Clerk was directed to issue a warrant on the Hospital Fund
for the bal&nce in the bank to the credit of that Fund in favor of the Chairman .o£ the
hospital Board.
