Alderman Price moved that the Council go on record as pledgid to pay for the paving of the intersections in :•!est Meadow Street Improvement Distdict Number One -of the City of Fayette- ville, Arkansas, and to pay j600.00 of the assessment against the property of School District No. One located therein. This motion was seconded by Alderman Mintun and received the following I vote; Ayes aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson, Piintun Price; Nays Alderman Phillips; Absent and not voting none, and the motion was declared passed b;; the Mayor. On motion by Ald::rman Hintun,seconded by Alderman Phillips and carried by the folloeing vote;- Ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson, P.ii.ntun, Phillips, Price; Nays none, absent and not voting none, and so declared b, the Llayor,it was ordered that the Council agrees to pay the sum of $3256.00 on the paving of Annex Number one to West Lafayette Improvement District Nu Number One. On motion it was ordered that a special meeting be held on September 10th for the purpose I of considering the passage of an Occupation Tax Ordinance. A -petition -'for water service signed by Citizenb residing on"South`Eocustt �tredt was reforre to the water commissioners. On the recommendation of the Cit n City Engineer ineer buildin g permits were granted as follows;' - Elmer Ncrwood,Lot 4, Block 1, Hicks Addition; J.'U.Cohea, '.lest Lafayette Street; H.L% Shelton, South Duncan treet A.L.Trent, Lot 8, Block4, Oakland Place; Jeff Davis.
