The Mayor then presented the matter of the Clean-up Week to the Council and on motion by
Alderman Price,seconded by Alderman Mintunand carried b;, the following vote;- Ayes Alderman
(Drake, iintun, Jackson,=rice, Nays Aldermen Harding, Phillips; the Mayor was authorized to
assist in the Ulean-up to the extent of $50.00,to be paid out of the General Fund of the City.
Alderman Price introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption which was seconded
by Alderman Harding and carried by the unanimous vote of the Council;

SECTION ONE: That the City Clerk request the Arkansas Railroad CoQmmission to set a date for
a hearing,at Fayetteville, Arkansas, with the St. Louis and San Frisco Railway Company for th
purpose of requiring said Company to erect proper passenger and frlbight depots for said City.

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The I.4ayor presented again, the matter of the expense of Clean-up Week and called attention
to the fact that the 5150.00 appropriated for the hauling of refuse was exh..usted and the work
not completed, whereupon Alderman Jackson, moved that the payor be authorized to expend an
additional sum, not to exceed w50.00,for the purpose of completing the work, This was seconded
by Alderman Drake and carried by the following vote;- Ayes aldermen Drake, Harding, Jackson and
i,Iintun, Nays none Absent and not voting, Aldermen Phillips and Price.The mayor declared the.
motion c_rried .
The wekkly report of the Street Comr. was read and on motion was ordered filed. ,
The following ammounts due Street Laborers, as shown by the Street Commissioner's Report,

Council;-
TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FO THE: CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARhANSAS;
We, the undersigned owners of real property in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,and of the
District herein described and set forth,respectfully petition your Honorable Body to take all
necessary steps and pass all necessary Ordinances, Resolutions or Orders to form an Improvement
District for the purpose of grading,rolling and paving with Asphaltic or Concrete Pavement,the f
following Streets and parts of Streets as hereinafter described,to-wit;Wall Street from the ''Jest

Whereupon AldermanJackson introduced the following Ordinance. Alderman Harding moved that
the Rules be suspended ansd the Ordinance placed on its second reading,seconded b$r Alderman M
Mintun, the motion was duly carried. Alderman Jackson then moved tha the Rules be further
suspended and the Ordinance placed on its third reading and final passage,seconded by Alderman
Drake this motion was carried by the unanimous vote of the members present. The mayo then called
for a vote on the passage of the Ordinance,ahich was as follows;- Ayes Aldermen Drake, Harding,

A complaint against High School boys for trespassing on property adjoining the High School was
filed by a number of the owners, and the Chi of of Police was directed to tkke measures to '
suppress such trespassing., and to notify the School authorities of the Complaint.
An Ordinance to regulate and license the auction sale of merchandise was introduced, and on T
motion duly put and carried was placed on its second reading,and after discussion was placed on
the calender for the next meeting of the Council.
