Mr Tom Gutherie appeared before the Council in reference to installing a telephone box on Diskson Street, -and on motion made by Aldo Price,seconded by Aldo Phillips,and carried by the unan- imous vote of the Council,Mr. Gutherie was authorized to install said telephone box,subject to.the approval -of the City Engineer. • br Paddock appeared before the Council and asked permission to break the side -walk on East Mountain Street for the purpose of installing a stairway to the basement of his building. On mo- tion made by A1d.Phillips,seconded by Aldo Price and carried by the unanimous vote of the Council permission was granted to DR Paddock to install said stair-way•,subject to the inspection and approv- al of the City Engineer. Mr. -French appeared before the Council with reference to the payment by the City for certain construction work at the intersection of Dickson and 7illow Streets. No action was taken thereon by the Council. Mr. W.E.Graham appeared before the Council and asked that the Council take steps to open 840 a drain -way on Olive Street. On motion made by Aldo Harding,seconded by Aldo Price and carried by the unanimous vote of the Council,the Street Commissioner was directed to repair the culvert on Olive Street by installing a concrete .bottom thereto,under the direction of the City Engineer at a cost not to exceed w 25.00. The following permits to errect building were submitted to the Council and on motion made by Aldo Price,seconded by Ald .Mintun and carried by the unanimous vote of the Council the following permits to errect building were granted,subject to -the inspection and approval of the City Engineer: • - ' A.E.Collier, Sleeping Porch; Walter Ham,Store building and Filling Station. The Following Resolution was introduced by Aldo Price,ivho moved its adoption.
