Lum.Co. 22.75 The Chief of The Fire Dept..,Chas Winkleman appealed before the Council,and upon motion made by Aldo Phillips ,seconded by Aldo Prioe,the salary of the Night Driver of the Fire Dept. was plac- ed at Fifty Dollars per month,beginning Sept. I.,I923. This motion was carried by the unanimous v vette of the Council and so ordered by the Mayor. Mr. Coffey appeared before the Council with reference to building a portable building and was referred to the City Engineer. The following applications to construct buildings were submitted to the Council,and on motion made by Aldo Price,seconded by Aldo Hintun and carried by the Unanimous vote of the Coun- cil,the same were granted subject to the inspection and approval of the City Engineer; E.V. BIrd, residence; C. C. Phillips, residence. The Special Committe on Locating New Lights, Aldo Mintun, Chairman,submitted a report,recom- mending that1JXJ 1X1 two lights be placed on Gregg Street and One Light on the corner of Dickson , and Viest Street. On motion made by Aldo Mintun,seconded by A1d.Phillips and carried by the unani mous vote of the Council the above report was approved and the Clerk was directed to inform the Light Company of this action pf the Council. The Report of the Street Commissioner for the week ending Sept. 8,I923 was submitted to the Council ,and on motion made by Aldo Jackson,seconded by Aldo Phillips and passed by the unanimous vote of the Council,the Report was received,filed, and the Clerk was directed tol issue warrants as follows to cover labor and materials as shown in above Report: Frank Viilliams,I94-j yds gravel, ` 369.00; Charlie Wilcox,53 hrs. $17.67 Schooler ##X11 Steward,53 hrs. I7.67/ A communication from the Fayetteville Gas and Electric Company was read to the Council ,and on motion made by Aldo Price,seconded by Ald Jackson ,the communication was referred to the Water Commissioners. This motion was carried by the.unanimous vote of the.Council.
