Ordinance No.•484 which passed its second reading at the last meeting of the Council was called
up by Aldo Harding. After some discussion -;on motion made by Aldo Prlce,seconded by A1d.Mintpn,
and carried by'the Following vote, Ayes Aldermen Price,Harding,Jackson,Phillips,Stephens,Min.
ton and so declared by the Mayor ,the Ordanee was placed on its third reading and final.passage
The Mayor then called for the vote on the passage of the Ordinance which was; Ayes; Aldermen Oka
Price ,Harding, Jackson,Phillips.Stephens,Llinton, Nayes None. The Mayor then declared the
Ordinance passed and a'copy 18 as-followse,
'An Ordinance to be entitled"An Ordinance requiring Policemen to secure uniforms"
'Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas:
,,Ipoction I. That all members of the police force of the City of Fayetteville ,Arkansas, be
r required to wear a standard police uniform.and cap while on duty and to procure
such uniform and cap within 30 days from the passage of this Ordinance.
Section 2. All Ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repeal-
ed.

Mr Hudson appeared before the Council in reference to the proposed building of a garage oa
at 2I0 North Block Street.
On motion made by Aldo Harding,seconded by Aid. Minton and passed by the unanimous vote of
the Council,The City Engineer was directed to submit plans to extend the limits of the Public
Square Fire District and also the limits of the Dickson Street Fire District,as the public
safety may require.
No fi�ther business appearing,the Council adjourned at 8:45 P.M.

The Council was called tp order by Aid. Phillips and on motion made by A1d.Jaclr
son,seconded by A1d.Phillips and carried by the Following vote ,Ayes; Aldermen Jackson,Phillips,
Stephens,Minton, Nayes ;None. -Present and not voting ,Aldo Harding, Alderman Harding was de-

The minutes of the preeeding meeting were read and approved by the Council. '
The Weekly Report of the Street Commissioner was read to the Council and on motion made by Aldo
Phillips,seconded by Aldo Jackson and carried by the following vote, Ayes:Aldermen Jackson,Phil-
lips,Stephene.Minton,Harding, Nayes;None,and so declared by the Acting Mayor,the Report was re-
ceived,directed to be filed,and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants as follows to cover la-
bor and materials as shown on said report viz:
Charlie Wilcox, •I8.00; Ed Wilcox, 2.50,1 Dook Taylor, 6.679
Schooler Stewart 4.00; John Zillah, 5.75, John Zillah 87.50
Dr. Drake appeared before the Council in regard to the paveing of the Street Crossing in the
Mont Nord Improvement District No. One,
The Committee on Finance of the Council,reported that it was teir recommendation that the ¢j(
City Council appropriate to Mont•Nord Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayettev-
ille,Arkahsas the sum of Forty -Five Hundred ($ 4500.00) Dollars,or such -part thereof as may be.
necessary to pave the intersections of the Streets in said Improvement District,and that the Cit
y Clerk be directed to issue warrants to the Commissioners of said District or to whomsoever
said Commissioners may direct9 for the said sum of Forty -Five Hundred ($4500.00) or such part
thereof as may be necessary,in annual payments each of which payments shall be one-tenth(I/IO)
of the whole amount the first of said ten warrants to be payable July I.1923,
On motion made by Aldo Phillips,seconded by Aldo Jackson and passed by the following.vot
e Ayes, Aldermen Jackson;Phillips,Stephens,Minton,Harding , Nayes: None, and so declared by
the Acting Mayor,the above Report of the Finance Committee was received approved and ordered X# I

the Council present, the Clerk was directed to issue the following warrants to cover :york done J6 '

yor,The Police Department was directed to place red tags on all cars bearing City License Nos.
which hereafter violate the City Trafic Ordinance.
On motion made by Aldo Phillips,seconded by A1d.Minton and passed by the unanimous vote of t
the Council present,the Acting•Mayor was directed to appoint a Committee of the Council to ton -
aider the question of appointing a•8pecial Trafic Policeman; The Acting Mayor thereupon announce '
d the names of this Committee, viz: AldermenPhillips,Stephens, Minton.
On motion made by Ald.,Phillips,seconded by A1d.Jackson and carried by the unanimous vote of
the Council present,the City Clerk was directed to correspond with the State R.R.Commission rela
tive to this Commissionssendind an Engineer to Fayetteville to consult with The City Engineer re
lative to plans for a Station Building on the St.Louis and San Francisco Railway at this place.

or', The Acting Mayor was directed to appoint a Special Committee of the Council to investigate

and report to the Council as to whether a majority of the roperty owners(in value) had signed
a Petition for the creation of Annex No.One to � Mont Nord Improvement District Num-
ber One, The Acting Mayor announced this Committee as Aldermen Jackson,Stephens,Minton, This
Committee then withdrew and upon its return,the Committee asked for further time and suggested
that the hearing on this subject be continued until Monday,July 2,I923,
On motion made by.Ald.Phillips,seconded by Aldo Minton and passed by the following vote, Ayes
Aldermen Jackson,Phillips,Stephens,Minton,Harding, Nayes; None and so declared by the Acting May
