with Asphaltic Pavement the said streets and parts of streets as may be more fully determined
hereafter by the Board of Improvement of said Improvement Distrie3r.
SECTION FOUR. That all Ordinanees,and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be,and the
same are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage,approval and publication.

The Protest of Bk.lT.Harding to the assessment of benefits to his property in North Willow
Street Improvement District Number One to the City of Fayetteyille,Arkansas was read to the Coun
oil.
A communication from Scott D.Hamilton in regard to the removing of a telegraph pole on Cen-
ter Street was read to the Council. On motion made by Aldo Harding,aecondedby Aldo Minton and
-' passed by the following vote; Ayes, Aldermen Harding,Jackson,Phillips,Stephens,Minton, Nayes;
None,and so declared by the Mayor, the matter of the removal of telegraph pole on Center Street
was referred to the City Engineer with power to act.
1. Mr. EoCoRobertson appeared before the Council in reference to side-walts on Sutton and on
Walnut Streets.
On motion made by Aldo Phillips,seconded by Ald. Harding•and carried by the unan-
imous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor, the Clerk was directed to serve notice i
on property owners of Lot Four A (4a) Block Nine(9),Masonic Addition to the City of Fayetteville
to construct side -walks Ander the supervision of the City Engineer,
The Chief of Police appeared before the Council in reference to the matter of uni-
forms for the 04ty Police Force,
Ordinance No.484 was read the first time by the�Clerk. On motion made by Aldo
Phillips,seconded by Aldo Harding and Passed by the following vote, Ayes;Aldermen Harding,Jack-
son,Phillips,Stephens,Minton, Nayes,None,and so declared by the mayor the Ordinance was placed
upon its Second reading. The Ordinance was then read the Second time .

Mr Hudson appeared before the Council in reference to the proposed building of a garage on

Square Fire District and also the limits of the Dickson Street Fire District,as the public
safety may require.

Dro Drake appeared before the Council in regard to the paveing of the Street Crossing in the
Mont Nord Improvement District No. One.
The Committee on Finance of the Council,reported that it was teir recommendation that the Xf
City Council appropriate to Mont -Nord Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayettev-
ille,Arkahsas the sum of Forty -Five Hundred ($ 4500000) Dollars,or such -part thereof as may be
necessary to pave the intersections of the Streets in said Improvement District,and that the Cit
y Clerk be directed to issue warrants to the Commissioners of said District or to whomsoever
said Commissioners may direct, for the said sum of Forty -Five Hundred ($4500000) or such part
thereof as may be necessary,in annual payments each of which payments shall be one-tenth(I/IO)
of the whole amount the first of said ten warrants to be payable July I,I923,

ber One, The Acting Mayor announced this Committee as Aldermen Jackson,Stephens,Mimtono This
Committee then withdrew and upon its return,the Committee asked for further time and suggested
that the hearing on this subject be continued until Monday,July 2,I923,
