June,I923, in accordance with the terms an provisions of Act Number 488 of the General Assembly
of Arkansas,duly approved on the 20th day of March, I923, deposit with the City Clerk of the Cit
y of FayettevilleiArkansas,the additional assessments of ':Dillow Avenue Improvement District Num-
- ber One of The City of Fayettevillq, Arkansas,duly subscribed by each of them;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE : - 'that the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, be,and he is.hereby,
required to cause to be published in the Fayetteville Democrat ,a daily paper published in -the
City of Fayetteville,Arkaneas, a notice, stating that said additional assessments, has-been so
filed by said Board of Assessors ,and that the same is now subject to inspection .
SECTION TWO: That all Orders and Resolutions in conflict herewith be, and the same are
hereby,repealed,and this Resolution shall take effect and beNinforced from and after its passage

and that the City Clerk notify the Board of Appraisers of said Improvement District of this ac-
tion of the Council.
The Mayor made a statement concerning the scheme of the Board of Health in regard to a cam-
paign for the destruction of breeding places of mosquitoes in the City.
On motion made by Aldo Harding,seconded by Aid. Minton and carried by the unanimous vote of
the Council,and so declared by the Mayor,the Clerk was directed to issue a warrant in favor of
Sanitary Policeman J.H.Schelly for Thirty ($30.001 Dollars per month ,during the pleasure of th
e Council for looking after the oil cans recommended by the Board of Health; and the Board of
Health was authorized to purchase such number of oil cans as would be required to carry out thei
r proposed campaign against mosquitoes.
No further business appearing,the Council adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

ILLE,ARKANSAS,INTO AN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING WEST MAPLE STREET FROM
THE EAST LINE OF ARKANSAS AVENUE TD' THE. EAST LINE OF GARLAND AVENUE LEVERETTE AVENUE FROM THE
NORTH LINE OF WEST MAPLE STREET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF DOUGLAS STREET; ARKANSAS AVENUE FROM THE

The Protest of g.-T.Harding to Lhe assessment of benefits to his property in North Willow
Street Improvement District Number One to the City 'of Fayetteyille,Arkansas was read to the Coun
oil.
A communication from Scott D.Hamilton in regard to the removing of a telegraph pole on Cen-
ter Street was read to the Council. On motion made by Aldo Harding,secondedby Aldo Minton and
-, passed by the following vote; Ayes, Aldermen Harding,Jackson,Phillips,Stephens,Minton, Nayes;
None,and so declared by the Mayor, the matter of the removal of telegraph pole on Center Street
was referred to the City Engineer with power to act.
Mr. 3.C.Robertson appeared before the Council in reference to aide -walks on Sutton and, on
Walnut Sheets.
On motion made by Aldo Phillips,seconded by Ald. Harding and carried by the unan-
imous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor, the Clerk was directed to serve notice i
on property owners of Lot Four A (4a) Block Nine(9),Masonic Addition to the City of Fayetteville
to construct side -walks tinder the supervision of the City Engineer.
The Chief of Police appeared before the Council in reference to the matter of uni-
forms for the 04ty Police Force.
Ordinance No.484 was read the first time by the Clerk. On motion made by Aldo
Phillips,seconded by Aldo Harding and Passed by the following vote, Ayes;Aldermen Harding,Jack-
son,Phi111ps,Stephens,Minton, Nayes,None,and so declared by the Mayor the Ordinance was placed
upon its Second reading. The Ordinance was then read the Second time .

The Report of the Street Commissioner for the -week ending the I6th. of June9I923 was read t
to the Council,and on motion made by Aldo Harding,seconded by Aldo Jaekson,and passed by
the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor, the Report was received and diad
ected to be filed ,and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants as follows to pay for work as

Permission was granted Joe Campbell to errect a residence on East Dickson Street,after he had
complied.with the City Building Code.
The Auditing Committee returned approved the Reports'of the City Police Judge and of .The
