The meeting was called to order by the I.Iayor,and the roll -call showed the Poll Eowing
present; The i.;ayor, Clerk, Aldermen Harding, Jackson, I.iintun, Phillips, Price,and Stephen
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
1Sesrs. Frank Barr, Tom Taylor,K. Armstrong, Dr. Bolen I,Toore,and others presented a
protest against the proposed extra assessment against Annex Thurber Two to the East
Street Improvement District,and on motion by Alderman Phillips, seconded by .'.lderman
Jackson,and daij put and carried, the Liayor appointed -a committee consisting of r'_lderme("A
Phillips, Stephens and Price to confer with the Commissioners of the District as to the
aid given by the City in caring for the nater on Dickson Street,where the extra expense
had been incurred, and to report a_t the next regular meeting of the Council.
Cn motion by _lderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Hinton, The City ..ngineer was
directed to establish a line for the erection of Light and Phone Poles on a certain
streetb in City Park _ddition,in response to the request of Idr. A.L.Trent.
.i representative of the St. LoLts and San Fransisco Railroad Cc was present and the
plans.of a new freight house and a remodled passenger station were presented to the
Council These plans were found to be unsatisfactory and the following resolution was
introduced by :Aderman Harding,who moved its adoption; this motion was seconded by Ald-
erman Price and carried by the unanimous vote of the Counc•il,r+he"reupon the i:Isyor
declared the resolution adopted,and a copy is as follows;-

Railroad Company on the matter of a new freight and passenger depot for Fayetteville,

the part of both to agree on the matter of said station have failed,and;
