erection 1. That section 8 of Ordinance no. 371 be amended to read as follows;
That it shall be -unlawful for any person ;firm, corporation or association,whether common
carrier or not,to accept from another for shipment or transportation or delivery,or to ship
transport,or deliver for anotherany of the liquors,bitters and drinks referred to in'scctio:
1 of this ordinance,or any of 'them when received at any point,place, or localityin the City
of Fayetteville,to be shipped or transported to,or delivered to another person,firm, curpor
ation or association, or at any other point, place, or localitywithin said City of Fayette-
' ville,or to convey or•transport nay of said liquors, bitters or drinks from one place
or locality in the City of Fayetteville and State of Arkansas to another place or loaality
within said City and State.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its pass
approval and publication.

On motion, Alderman Harding was elected acting Clerk.
alderman Price introduced a resolutionas to the purchase of an Oil Pumping Unit by
the Coru7issioners of the '..ater Improvement.Distriet,and moved its adoption, which motion .,as
seconded. by Aide man :.iintun,on which the vote ryas;- ryes, Aldermen Jackson, Liintun, Price,
Stephens, llays,'Alderman Harding, Absent and not voting, Alderman Phillips, whereupon the
isyor declared the motion carried ,and the resolution adopted. Acopy of the resolution is as

Section.One That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby

purchase of an oil pumping unit for the ithite River Pumping Station from the Fairbanks-Korse
Company,at a price approximately of N30,000.00; to be paid out each month in the sum of ;780.0 Or
