Immediately after the roll-call,the Commisioners of 1,Iont Nord Improvement District Numb
One of the City of Fayetteville,being present,requested the passage of a certain resolution,whic
was accordingly introduced by 'Alderman Price who moved its adoption. This motion was seconded =e.
by Alderman Harding and passed by Sdrft the unanimous vote of the Council. A copy is as follows;-

K�1 'HEREAS,The Board of Assessment of i.Iont Nord Improvement District Number One of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas,did on the 5th day of December,1922,deposit with the City Clerk of the
' City of Fayetteville, Arkansas ,the assessment of Hont Nord Improvement District Number One of the
City of Fayetteville, grkansas,duly subscribed b; each of them;
..HEREAS, on said 5th day of december ,1922,the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,duly passed a resolution,directing the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
to cause a notice to be duly published,stating that said assessment had been so filed by the
said Bov.rd of Assessors;

hA:REAS, said Clerk did so cause said notice to bexxn publishedon the 6th day of Decembe%
1922; and
it has since developed that some errors were made in said assessment,and said
Board desires to correct t::e same;

SECTION ONE: That the Board o£ Assessment of Mont I?ord Improvement District Humber One of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,be permitted to re -assess the property in said Improvement
District,for the purpose of correcting the sk7rZ$E said above mentioned errors,and deposit the
same with the City Clerk,in due form,so that due notice may be given the property owners within
said District,as the law requires.
SECTION T1:10: That all orders and Resolutions in conflict herewith be, and the same are,
hereby repealed,and thisRresolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage
and approval.

Complaint was made by persons residing near the dumping ground for night soil from the
City, thereupon the L;ayor assured them that immediate stens would be taken to remedy the
condition of which they complained.
There were present the Board of Commissioners of 'Dillow Avenue Improvement District,the
City ngineer,and :.Ir French,representing The Idoreno-Burkham Construction Company,who,on behalf
of his Com any presented a proposition whereby the said District would be enabled to use an
asphalt top on the entire District,provided certain funds could be obtained, after a long
and thorough discussion,a resolution in -regard to the matter was introduced bl.- Alderman Price,
who moved itc adoption. This motion was seconded by Alderman Hardingand was declared carried by
the i.Iayor upon the following vote, ryes, Alderrpen Harding, Jackson,Liintun, Price, Stephens,
Nays, Alderman Philliys, Absent and not voting None. The Mayor then declared the Resolution
adopted, and the followi4g is a copy;-

Council of the City of Fayetteville, arkansas.

Dr. A.S.Gregg, the City Health Officer was present and made a detailed relort of the
of the activities of his Department from the beginning of his term of officeto date. This
report shoos the Health and Sanitary conditions of the City to be in a very.:gratifying state.
On motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman I•.Iintun,and passed by -the unanirpous
vote of the Council,the City .ngimeer era:: d3hrected to make the necessary survey to show the
amount of crater supplied by Johnsom Spring,the fall from the spring to the pump station on
Clear Creek,and the lands the City would have to purchase to secure thering,and convey the
..'ater to the said station.
Lo further business appearing,the Council,on motion, adjourned to Friday December 22nd,
19227 at 7;30 p.m.

PURSUA11T to adjourment, the Council met at 7;30 p,m. December 22nd,1922; Present, :_-ayor

.he minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
Complaint was made that the driveway immediately north of the Ozar', Theatre had been ca!s
closed,and the Council was requested to ascertain whether or not the same ryas a public alley.
On motion by Alderman Harding,seconded by Alderman ISintun, hte City Attcrney and the
6ity n�ineer were instructed to investigate the matter and report as early as possible to the

:.r. Henno was present and addressed the Council in regard to the establishment of the
street and sidewalk grade on South :.ast Street;and in response to the urgent solicitation of .-dr.
henno, Alderman Harding moved tha the City kngineer be instructed to establish the said grades.
This motion was seconded bt Alderman :.intun,and resulted in the following vote; Ayes Aldermen
Aurding, Jackson, i,Sintun, Stephens; flays none, x,bsent and not voting, Alderman -Philli,s, Price.
The I.Iayor declared the motion carriediandthe mCineer so instructed.

An Ordinance, .am�nending the "Bone Dx� ITOadinance was introduced by Alderman Jackson,
T.1 was read by the Clerk. .:hereupon Alderman Price moved that the rules be suopended and the ,
ordinance rolaced'on its second reading. This motion was seconded by alderman Jackson and carried
bSr the iollo:-ring vote; Ayes Aldermen Harding, Jacksom, hintun, Price, Stephens. Fays none; Lbsentt
and not voting, Alderman Phillips. `Alderman Jackson then moved that the rules be further sus-
pended and the ordinance placed on its third reading and final passage ,Seconded. by alder ran
_tephens,this motion rias carried by the same vote as above.The i.Iayor then called for the vote on
the -oassa;e of the Crdinance.whick was as follows; Ayes Aldermen Harding, Jackson, I.?intu_r, Price
