hereas the said Jeff Davis,as Trustee, covenants and agrees that no part of the

Dr. 11.F.Drake was present and informally presented the matter of City aid to the
i:ont ::ord Improvement ,)istrict. The i:ayor explained the position the City had uniformly
tcicen as to Improvement Districts, and expressed the opinion that the City would in all
probability assist to the extent of paving the actual street intersections.
The :.:ayor then announced that in view of the changed personel of the Council,
it had become necessary to rearrange the Standing Committees, and announced the following
to serve untill Aoril 1923.

the sum of N150.00 toward the sul.port of the Jublic Library, an wally, contingent upon a
pledge for equal amounts being made by eleven other organizations, with the understanding
that there shall be no more solicitations for private donations for that purpose.
alderman Phillips seconded the motion, and the follol.iing vote was taken; -Ayes, Aldermen

Committee.

Alderman Harding seconded by ,.lderman thillips, moved that the account of J.�e
Dunnahew, for paving a crossing on South Streot be allo,ved and ordered paid' and that the
Clerk be instructed to draT..a a warrant for the same. On this motion the v.tewas;- ayes

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The following accounts against the City were presented;- J.':,Shelley, ,'5.0.0,
.iogers, .,72.00, Campbell Filling Station, 5x3.60. On motion by Harding, seconded by
Jackson, the above accountd were referred to the Auditing Committee.
City ',:arrant number 5819, issued October 25th, 1919, payable to the Water Commis-
sioners, and used by them as collateral security for the purchase of a pump, said '..arrant
being for the sum of three thousand (3000.00) dollars,was returned to the City Council,the
debt having be, -;n paid. .hereupon, Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Stephens, moved
that the Clerk be instructed to endorse the above fact on the stub of the warrant, and to
destroy the currant in the presence of the Council. The vote on this motion was;- Ayes
aldermen Harding, Jackson, i.Iintun, Phillips, Price, Stephens Fays, none, Absent and not
