REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL HELD SEPTEMBER 1811922.
Present: Mayor, Aldo Ham,Harding,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens.
Absent: Cpty Clerk,D.E.Bridenthal:
On motion duly adopted,Alderman C.T.Harding was elected to act as Clerk.
Alderman Massie moved that all reports that had been approved by the proper
committees be•filed,which was dulyxm seconded by Alderman Jackson. xesulted in the
' following vote. Ayes, Aid.HamfHarding,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens. Noyes, None.
Absent and not voting,None. The Mayor declared the motion adopted.

Alderman moved that all bill which have been approved be ordered paid and the
Clerk instructed to issue Warrant for same,Wgich motion was duly seconded by Alderman
' Stephens. Resulted in the following vote: Ayes,Ald.Ham, Harding, Jackson, Maesie,Price,
Stephens. Nayes,None. Absent and not vating,None. The Mayor declared the motion duly
adopted.
Alderman Price moved that the bills of K.C.Brush Cos for 07,21 and Harry Hansard
for $20.0o be allwwed and ordered paid,and thatvthe Clerk issue Warrants for sametwhich
motion was duly seconded by Alderman Massie. "eeulted in the following vote: Ayes,Ald.
Ham,Harding,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephene. Nayes,None. Absent and not voting,None. The
Mayor declared the motion duly adopted.
Alderman Massie moved that the bill for paving the intersection of North vest
Street and Lafayette Street,except $200.00,be paid out of the General Fund,ard the
Clerk instructed to issue Warrant for same as said sum of 8200.0o to be paid by West
Lafayetteve Avenue Improvement District Number Ones --Which was duly seconded by A1-
derman Jackson. Resulted in the following vote: Ayes,Ald.Ham.Harding,Jackson,Masai a,
' Price,Stephens. Nayes,None. Absent and not voting,None. The Mayor declared the
motion duly a¢bpted.
Alderman& Massie moved that the Petition of H.E.Jackson for a side walk on
Olive Street be allowed and that a proper Drder be issued,under the direction of
the City Engineer,Which was duly seconded by Alderman Price. Resulted in the fol-
lowing vote: Ayes,Ald.Ham,Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price, Stephens. Nayes,None.
Absent and not voting,None. The Mayor declared the motion duly adopted.
Alderman Massie moved that building permits be allowed to Oliver Lollar,Jeff
l'avis, W.M.Brown,Mark St -Clair Ellis,Fred Armstrong,and Mark St.Clair Ellis,
Franklin Display Room, subject to the approval of the City Engineer,Which motion was
duly seconded by AldermanHam.,Resulted in the following vote: Ayes, Ald.Ham, Harding,
Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens. Nayes,None. Absent and not voting,None. The Mayor
declared the motion duly adopted.

We,the undersigned owners of real property in the City of r'ayetteville,Arkan-
sae,and of the District herein described and set forth,respectfully petition your tion-
orable Body to take all necessary steps,and pass all necessary Ordinances,Resolutiona,
or Orders to form an Improvement District for the purpose of paving with Asphaltic=

spread of record, which motion was duly seconded by Alderman Harding, resulted in the

Nayes none. Absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared the motion adopted.
No further business coming before the Council, it was movedand carried to ad-
journ to meet on Monday, September 25, 1922, at 7:30 P. M., for the purpose of con-
{ sidering the second petition of Mont Nord Improvement District Number One of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as to Whether the same wwo signed?by-a majority: in
assessed valuation and such other business as might come before the Council.

Alderman Iuassie introduced resolution of sympathy and regret on
the death of City Clerk, D.11.Bridenthal, whirhxximxsand moved its
adoption,seconded by Ald. Stephens. The resolution was adopted by
acclamation.
