of, to pay said owner of said warrant, the sum of eight per cent interest
per annum on said aaaount of said warrant from the date of such default,
until the said sum is fully paid, as an agreed and stipulated penalty and
as damages, on the part of the City of Fayettevillg, for its failure to
perform that part of its contract, :ith said i.ioreno-Burkham Construction
Company, a corporation, or the ozner of said warrant.
SECTION 5. This contract shall be bin4ing upon the City�f
Fayetteville, Arkansas from and after the passage, approval and publication
of this ordinance, and the acceptance of the same by the said I:ioreno-
Burkham Construction Company, a corporation,.in writing filed in the
office of the City Clerk of Fayetteville ,and compliance with its terms
said i.ioeno-Burkham Construction Company, a corporation, on its part.
The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby pledges itself,
and all its officers, to the faithful performance of this contract as
herein set forth in this ordinance upon the full performance of the enn-
tract herein set forth on the part of said i.Ioreno-Burkham Construction
Company, a corporationI
SECTION 6o his ordinance shall take effect Brom and after
its passage, approval 9nd publication.

Aldo Massie moved that the Light Committee be instructed to have
ti -B Light Company to reduce the whiteway lights by removing every alternate
light wiiich was duly sec. by Aldo Price, Resulted in the following vote:
Ayes: Aldo Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price, Stephens. Nayes: None.
Absent, not voting, Aldo Ham. The Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Aldo Harding moved that the City Engineer be allowed to give a
permit on all preliminary work on construction of houses to be valid until
the final plans have presentedyo the Council which was duly sec. by Aldo
Massie. Resulted in the following vote: Ayes: Aldo Harding, Jackson,

The Mayor declared the i.Iotion adopted.

CALLED IZETING OF 'TIE CITY COUNCIL 19•LD AUGUST 1, 1922.
Present i:layor, Aldo Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price, Stephens. Absent,
Clerk, Aldo Ham. Lloved and carried that Aldo Harding act as Clerk.
Bids were received from the First National Bank end the 11cIl2roy Banking
Co. for the purpose of acting as the depository of the city funds. Same were read
and Aldo Price moved that all the bids be rejected and the Clerk be instructed to
advertise for more bids which was duly sec. by Aldo Lassie, Resulted in the following
vote: Ayes: AldoffiM, Harding, Jackson, Lassie, Price, Stephens. Nayes: None,
Absent, not voting, Aldo Ham. The Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Aldo Price moved that the Sanitary Policaman be allowed 50c per month
for cleaning surface closets and for each dead horse hauled the sum of ;�5.00x x
to take effect August 1, 19229 wlffich was duly sec. by Aldo Massie. Resulted in the
following vote: Ayes, Aldo Harding, Jackson, M�).ssie, Price, Stephens. Nayes: None.
Absent, not voting, Aldo Ham. The Mayor declared the motion adopted,
