SECTION 2 7. The 14tyor aAd City Clerk xmi are hereby authorized
and empowered to execute and acknowledge any agreements that may be
necessary for the purpose of carrying into effect this ordinance.
SECTIONS. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, same shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and-ublication.

Present Mayor, Ald. Harding, Massie, Price, Stephens. Absent
Clvtk, Ald, Ham., Jackson.
Notion was 3mtxzm&xymxrkP moved and carried that Ald. Massie ;
act as Clerk.
Ald. Harding moved to approve the account of Ellis Sutton at
for the sum of $2.519, and the Clerk be instructed to issue a warrant for
same which was duly sec. by Ald. Price. Resulted in the following voibe:
Ayes. Ald. Harding, Massie, Price, Stephens. Nayes: None. Absent,
not voting, A1d.Ham and Jackson. Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Moved and carried to adjourn subject to call.

REGULAR 1EETING CITY COUNCIL HEIR JULY 170 1922.
Presnet: Mayor, Clerk, Ald. Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price,
Stephens, Absent, Ald. Ham. '
The Board of Health was present and Dr. Ellis spoke of con-
ditions confronting the City at this time. And, asked the Uouncil
to raise the salary of the City Health Officer onaccount of it taking
up so much of his time. After some discussion by all present Ald.
Harding moved that the matter of -raising the silary of the City Health'
O�.ficer be referred to the rihance Committee and report back at the
next regular metin13 which was duly sec. by Ald. Stephens. Resulted
in the following vote: Ayes, Ald. Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price,
Stephens. Nayesa None. Absent, not voting, Ald. Ham. Mayor declared '
the motion adopted.
Mr. Bruce Holcomb, one of the Cmmmiesioneers for West
Lafayette Improvement District IIo. 1 appeared before the Council'an:d
asked for the money for the mainteanance of West Lafayette Improvement
District No, One. According to a resolution passed by the City Council
in March 1917. "hereupon, Ald. Price moved that the Clerk draw a
warrant for the sum of $200.00 in favor of the Chairman of West
Lafayette Improvement District No. One, being the amount due August
19 1921 which was duly sec. by Ald. Jackson. Resulted in the following
vote: Ayes, Ald. Harding, Jackson, 4assie, pPrice, Stephens. Nayes:
None. Absent, not voting, Ald. Ham. Mayor declared the motion adopted.
