Present Mayor, Ald. Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price, Stephens, Absent
Clerk, Ald. Ham. Moved aryl carried that Ald. Massie act as Clerk.
Colonel Armistead was present and asked the Council to grant privilege
tothe Amrican Legion to bring a Carvinal Company to the city. Whereupon,
Ald. Harding moved to remit the license on the L. B. Holkemp Carnival Co.
so long as the shows are clean and orderly and to be shown for a ;week which
was duly sec. by Ald. Price. Resulted in the following vote: Ayes, Ald.
Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price, Stephens. Nayes: None. Absent, not
voting, Ald. Ham. Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald. Harding introduced an Ordinance regulating the parking of
vehicles within the city which was read the first time . Whereupon, Ald.
Harding moved that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed upon
a second reading whiogwas duly sec. by Ald. Price. Resulted in the follow—

AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING
OF VLHICL�S ,WITHIN THE CITY OF FAYi:TTEVILLE, ARKANSAS."
BE IT ORDANIED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY (F FAYETTEVILLE.

'Section one. All vehicles of whatsoever kind. shall tre-1parked on
the right hand side of the street by heading into the curb at an angle of
\ forty-five (45) degrees, egeept upon such streets where parking space is
\\6lY indicated by painted lines, and upon all such streets where parking space is
so indicated, all vehicles shall strictly conform to the angle of the painted
lines, Prov)rded, that upon4�streets not exceeding 30 feet in width, all
vehicles shall be parked on the right hand side of the street parallel with
and: against the curb.

Section Four. Any person or persons violati.o any of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mYsdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined n any sum not less than One Dollar ($'1.00)
or more than' Twenty-five Dollars ( 25.00) for each offense.
Section Five. That this Ordinance be in force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication, and all Ordinances or parts
thereof in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.

WH SAS, the Board of Assessors have filed with the Board
of Improvement of Willow Avenue Improvement District Number One of',, the
City of Fayetteville, ArkarBas, a report and recommendation that an
assessment and a reassessment and a revision of assessments be made
for the purpose of correcting inequalities in the assessment of benefits`,,
and for the purpose of assessing correctly and truly against each.

justly, truly and rightfully assessing all benefits against each tract
of land, as they should in justice and of right be assedded; and
WH"'AS, the Board of Improvement has approved said petition
for said assessment, re=assessment and revision of said assessments;

such assessment of benefits be made,
NOW TIEREFORE; BE IT ORDAINED bJ the .city council of the
cid of the City of Fayetteville:
SECTION 1. That the recommendation and report of the Boarit
of Assessors filed with the Board of Improvement of `,yillow Avenue
Improvement District Number One and the City Council --be and the same
is h_reby approved, and the said assessors are authorized, directed
and empowered to make said assessment in accordance vd th law,
SECTION 2. That the revised estimate of the cost of said
improvement made by the engineer, and approved aryl adopted by the Board
of Improvement of said District be and the same is hereby approved.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville is

lab, and that said notice be given immediately on the
filing of said assessment by the Board of Assessors.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace and safety, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and publication.
