The City Engineer presented the Profile of the grades established on Dickson,Viest
and Gregg Streets,Mr.Topphing the Frisco Engineer asked that the same grade be
established by Ordinance, whereupon Ald Harding moved that same be approved and filed
and an Ordinance be drawn covering the same and be presented at the next meeting
of the Council, which was.duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote

voting none,lilayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Harding moved that a permit be granted to A.L.Harding to drive an Automobile'

Harding moved that the report of the Committee be received and the Committee be
discharged, which was duly Sec by Ald Massie, resulted in the following vote Ayes
Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson,8iassie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting

Mr.Robt Landron and R.E.Wages were present and asked for a permit to build
a Septic Tank vrher<:uopn Ald Harding introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption, to -wit:

1 d Be it Resolved tha t a permit be issued to Rebt Landron to construct a Septic
Tank on his property located on Hill Street,in strict accordance with plans a
approved by the City Engineer and the City Health Officer, said Landrun to pay
all cost of inspection fee due City Engineer.

Ald Massie Seconded the motion to adopt this resolution, vote was taken with the

Ald Massie moved that the matter of putting a light for Mrs Shuford be referred
to the Light Committee with pov✓er to act, which was dul;.y Sec by Ald Msssze Ham,

Nayes none ,Absent and not voting none ,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
&Lr Paul Herwagon was present and asked for a permit to take up an old Gas Tank and
replace with a new one, whereupon Ald Harding moved that a permit be granted to
isir Herwagon to take up old Gas Tank and replace with a new one under the supervision
of the City Engineer and Mr Herwagon to pay for the inspection of same, which was
duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson,
Iassie,Price,Stephens,llayes none,Absent and not voting none,I,7ayor declared the
motion adopted.
The acct of Ellis Sutton was referred to the Auditing Committee.
Ald Massie moved that a permit be granted to W.H.Lane to build a residence'
subject to the approval of the City Engineer, which was duly Sec by Ald Price,
resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham ,Harding, Jackson ,Massie ,Price.
Stephens,Nayes none,ebsent and not voting none,lfayor declared the motion adopted.

ORDINANCE No. 452.
TO BE ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PREVENTION a INJURY TO ASPHALT PAVEiENT
FROI., OVER -LOADED VEHICLES,"
BE IT ORDAINED By The City 'Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
Section one. It shall hereafter be deemed a violation of this
Ordinance for any person or persons to drive or otherwise move any vehicle, build-
ing, roller or other object of whatsoever kind, the gross weight of vhich is more

across any

pavement within the corporate
limits

Fayetteville,
Arkansas,
without
first having obtained from the
Mayor
and City .Engineer a written permit so to do. The Mayor and City Engineer shal 1
lip ( I e7,;,jJiot.issue ',any such permit when in their judgement the object sought to be moved
across the, pavement will result in di -mage -to the seine.
Sect -ion Two. Before granting any such permit, the Mayor and City
F Engineer may require that either a cash deposit or a good and collectable bond be
made, conditioned upon the repair of any 'possible injury to the pavement without
dxpense to either the City of Fayetteville or any Improvement District, the terms
and conditions of sucli cash deposit or bond; together with the amount of the same,
to be fully set forth in each separate permit.
Section Three. It shall be a violation of this Ordinance for any
person or, persons to drive. any vehicle or object 'of any kind with cleated wheels
or treads
,,,or, with a rough bearing surface.; over any asphalt pavement. It shall
likevide�be a violation of this Ordinance for any person or persons to -drive any
motor truck with weed or mdd "chains. 'over -.'64y such asphalt •pavement.
Section Pont. 'No person or persons shall drive -or move any.
vehicle or object of whatsoever kind which has .tires or supports less than three
(3) inches in width and vfith a.gross weight of move than twelve hundred (1200)
pounds per wheel, upon any asphalt pavement: •

Section Six. Any person or persons violating any of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty, of,a misdeamenor, and upon ca n—
viction thereof in the Police Court shall be fined in any sum not less than 'Twenty-
- five ($25,00) Dollars nor more than One Thousand($1000*00) Dollars for each offense.
viLI J. S'e`ction Seven. That this Ordinance be in force and effect
from after its passage; approval and publication and all ordinances or parts
thereof in conflict herewith, be�and the same are hereby repealed.

confer with the Vlater Commissioneers relative to the employment of a bonded
Auditor, to audit the books'of the City Water Plant for the last three years
which was duly sec. by Aldt.-Idassie resulted in the following vote: Ayes,
Ald. Harding, Jackson, Massie, Price, Stephens, Nayes, bone. • Absent, not voting,
Ald. Ham. MayNdeclared the Motion adopted,
The question of a dumping ground came up. tAfter the matteiwas
discussed by all present, the Mayor appointed Ald.Jackson to confer with Mr.
Bruel in regard to a dumping groudd.
Ala, Massie introduced an Ordinance asd-mmimg repealing Ordinance
No. 411 reducing the width of Walnut St. which was read the first time. vfhere-
upon Aid. Massie moved that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed
