ORDINANCE NUMBER 451.
AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF
CONS TO B�-. KEPT WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF TIE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS. "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS 0
m �Section One. Not more thatn two (2) cows shall be kept by any one
person,firm or corporation within the corporate limits of the City of
Fayetteville,Arkansas,unless a minimum of one-half acre of space be
provided for each additional cow.

Mr.London was present -and asked for a permit to run a Roller over the Paved
Streets to his Filling Station,Ald I:assie moved that a Permit to run a Hollar
on the Paved Streets be denied, which was duly Sec.by Aid Price, resulted in
the following vote Ayes Aid Ham,Harding,Jackson,Idia.ssie,Price,Stephens,Nayes
none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
The question of renting the City flagon Yard came up for consideration
after some discussion by Eason Bros and others,Ald Harding moved that the
Mayor and the Chairman of the Finance Committee be authorized to rent the

City Wagon Yard at a rental of $900.00 per year and give Smelser &.Eason the
refusal of same, which was duly Sec by Aid Price, resulted in the following

A communication from Mrs Yeater asking for a permit to dig into west Maple
Street to make water and sewer connections was read to the Council whereupon
Aid Massie moved that the same be referred to the Mayor, which was duly Sec by
Aid Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid Ham ,Harding. Jackson ,Massie
Pricq,Stephens,Ilayes done.Absent and'not voting none,I6ayor declared'the motion
adopted.
The reports of the various City Officals for the month of April were read,
whereupon Aid Massie moved that reports be referred to the Finance Committee
which was duly Sec by Aid Harding, resulted in thee following vote Ayes Aid
Ham Harding. Jackson Nayes none,Absent and not

The following accounts against the City for the month of April were read

the Auditing Committee which was duly Sec by Aid Stephens,resulted in the

Absent and not voting none.Mayor declared the motion adopted.
A1d'I.Iassie moved to allow the Uayor the sum of $2.84 for cash paid out
for Express and Clerk draw warrant for the same out of the6Vryia General
Fund, which was duly Sec by Aid Price,resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid
Ham,Harding,Jackson Price ,Stephens ,Nayes none,Absent and not voting
,Massie ,
none.Nayor declared the motion adopted.
Aid Iuassie moved that the eater Deposit Ordinance be indefinitly postponed,
which was duly Sec by Aid Price, resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid
Ham,Jackson,I.lassie,Price,Stephens, Nayes Aid Harding,Absent and not voting
none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Aid Lassie introduced an Ordinance not to allow the keeping of only two
cows within the copporate limits, which was read the first time, wheredpon
Aid Harding moved that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed
upon its second reading, which was duly Sec by Aid Price, resulted in the
following vote Ayes Aid Ham,Harding,Jackson ,1,assie,Price, Stephens Nayes none,
Absent and not voting none,llayor declared the motion adopted.
Aid Harding moved that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance
be placed upon its third needing and final passage, which was duly Sec by
Aid Price,resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid Ham,Harding,J ackson,
Massie,Pricq,Stephens,Nayes none and not voting none,Mayor declared

Question is now shall the Ordinance pass as read, vote was taken with the

Section Three. Any person,firm of corpoartion violating the provisions
/� of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,and upon conviction
U� thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than Five Dollars nor more than
Fifteen Dollars for each offende; and each day or part thereof that this

Ordinance shall be violated shall constitute a seperate offense.
Se d o Four. That this Ordinance be in force and effeettfrom and after
May the 12th, 922, nd itpassage,approval and publication. This Ordinance is
cumulative in its n t d shall repeal only such parts of Ordinances that are
in direct conflict herewith.

The City Engineer presented the Profile of the grades established on Dickson,West
and Gregg Streets,Mr.Topphing the Frisco Engineer asked that the same grade be
established by Ordinance, whereupon Ald Harding -moved that same be approved and filed
and an Ordinance be drawn covering the same and be presented at the next meeting
of the Council,_which was.duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote
Ayes Ald Harding,Ham,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,,Absent and not
voting none,M%yor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Harding moved that a permit be granted to A.L.Harding to drive an Automobile'
which was duly Sec by-Ald Massie,'resulted in the following vote Ayes t'ld Harding,

Harding moved that the report of the Committee be received and the Committee be
discharged, which was duly Sec by Ald Massie, resulted in the following vote Ayes

h1r.Robt Landron and R.E.Wages were present and asked for a permit to build
a Septic Tank wherr:uopn Ald Harding introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption, to -wit:

Be it Resolved that a permit be issued to Rebt Landron'to construct a Septic
Tank on his property located on Hill Street,in strict accordance with plans a
approved by the City Engineer and the City Health Officer, said Landrun to pay
all cost of inspection fee due City Engineer.

Ald Massie moved that the matter of putting a light for Mrs Shuford be referred
to the Light Committee with power to act, which was dul,.y Sec by Ald WIMsia Ham,

Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
T.Ir Paul Herwagon was present and asked for a permit to take up an old Gas Tank and
replace with a new one, whereupon Ald Harding moved that a permit be granted to
hLr Herwagon to take up old Gas Tank and replace with a new one under the supervision
of the City Engineer and Mr Herwagon to pay for the inspection of same, which was
duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jadkson,
I.7assie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,11ayor declared the
motion adopted.
The acct of Ellis Sutton was referred to the Auditing Committee.
Ald Massie moved that a permit be granted to W.H.Lane to build a residence'
subject to the approval of the City Engineer, which was duly Sec by Ald Price,
resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham ,Harding. Jackson ,Massie ,Price.
Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
