The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. lI
Mr..French of the I�,ioreno-Burkham Construction Co. was present and discussed
matters pertaining to Annex No 2 to East Street Improvement District No 1..
A communication from the Fayetteville Repair Co asking for a permit to dig
into Washington Ave and also on College Avenue was read to the Council, where-
upon Aid Harding moved that a permit be granted to the Fayetteuiille Repair
Co. under the direction of the City Engineer and they to pay the,), City Engineer
fee for inspection, which was duly Sec by Aid Ham, resulted in the following
vote Ayes Aid Ham,Harding,Jackeon,Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and
voting none.Mayor declared the motion adopted. ii
A communication from Roy W.Wood asking for a permit to dig intoland under side-
walks gutter and curbs to lay the cable for the White Way was read to the Council
Whereupon Aid Price moved that same be referred back to Ielr Wood!Iwith instructions
to arrange with the City Engineer in regard to excavations under Walks and gut ters
and streets and report back to the Council before digging underlsaid walks,gutters
and streets,which was duly Sec by Aid Ham,Harding,Jackson,Massii,Price,Stephens,
Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
The final report of the Commissioners of Public Square Impre
was filed with the City Council, whereupon Aid Harding.intro
resolution and moved its adoption, to -wit:

W.H.Morton;I.G;Combs as security was read to the Council, whereupon Ald Harding
moved that Bond -be received and placed on record, which was duly Sec by Ald
Jackson, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson.Massie,
Price,Stephens, Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Ma.yor declared the
motion adopted.
Ald Harding moved that the rreports of the various City Officals for the month
of 1.4ardh that have been O.K., by the R±x=weFinance Committee be received and
filed, which was duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald

Ald Price moved to allow the accts aginst the City for the month of March,
which have been O.K. by the Auditing Committee and Clerk draw warrants for the
same; which was duly Sec by Ald Harding.' resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald
Ham,Harding,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,
Mayor declared the motion adopted.

Ald Ham moved to allow the acct'of Milton Diers for -the sum of $30.00 for painting
parking sapce on the Public Square and Clerk draw warrant for. same out of the
General Fund, which was duly Sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the following vote,

voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Massie moved that the Mayor and the Chairman of the Finance Committee
be instructed to rent the City Wagon Yard and report back to the Council on
April 28th,1922, which was duly Sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the following
vote Ayes Ald Ham. Harding. Jackson ,Mas sie,Price,Stephens ,Nayes none,Absent and
not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Harding moved that the Council grant a permit to Mrs.L.J.Curry to
make improvements and to build subject to the approval of the City Engineer
which was duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,
Harding, Jackson.liassie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,
Mayor declared the motion adopted.
No further business coming -before the C *Council moved and carried to
adjourns to meet.subject to call.
