Present Mayor,Clerk,Ald Harding,lla.ssie,Price,Stephens,Absent Ald Ham,Jackson.
H.A.Briaenthal and others asked that the Petition asking that the name of
Dickson Street be changed to Main street be withdrawn, whereupon Ald Massie
Chairman of the Ordinance Committee recommended that the Ordinance changing
tkw=RmR Dickson Street to Main Street be not passed,Ald Harding moved that the
report of the Ordinance Committee be received which was duly Sec by Ald
Price,resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Harding,11zxsx*z Massie,Price,
Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting Ald Ham,Jackson,Mayor declared the
motion adopted.
The Mayor appointed H.W.Phillips City Collector at a salary of $75.00 per
month,whereupon Ald Harding moved that the appointment be comfirmed by the
Council which was duly Sec by Ald Price,Resulted in the following vote,Ayes
Ald Harding ,11assie,Price, Stephens ,Nayes none,Absent and not voting Ald Ham,
Jackson,Mayor'declared the motion adopted.,
Ald Harding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption,To-wit:

RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,?2KANSASo
That concrete gutters be ordered in on the north side of Dickson,Street between
Block and St.Charles Streets, and the City Clerk have notice served on the said
property owners,said gzutaxx gutters shall be constructed within 10 days from
date of service, this was duly Sec by Ala Massie, resulted in the following vote
Ayes Ald Harding,Massie,Price,Stephens,nayes none,Absent and not,'voting Ald
Ham,Jackson,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Harding moved that the account of Marcus Hulse Election Commissioner for the
sum of $34.50 be allowed and Clerk draw warrant for same, which was duly Sec by
Ald Price,reeulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Harding,IvJassielh,Price,Stephens,
Nayes none ,Absent and not voting Ald Ham,Jackson,Mayor declaredl,,the motion
adopted.

Mr.J.Fulbright was present and 'stated to the Council that the Water
Commissioners had appointed Ivir.C.C.Phillips as Collector for the; Water Plant,,
The appointment seemed to be satisfactory to the Council.
No furthAr business coming before the Council moved and carried to meet'subject
to call. '

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr..French of the Moreno-Burkham Construction Co. was present and discussed
matters pertaining to Annex No 2 to East Street Improvement District No 1..
A communication from the Fayetteville Repair Cc asking for a permit to dig
into Washington Ave and also on College Avenue was read to the Council, where-
upon Ald Harding moved that a permit be granted to the Fayetteville Repair
Co. under the direction of the City Engineer and they to pay the; City Engineer
fee for inspection, which was duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following
vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jackeon,Il4assie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and
voting none,I,Ia,yor declared the motion adopted.
A communication from Roy W.Wood asking for a permit to dig intoliand under side-
walks gutter and curbs to lay the cable for the White Way was read to the Council
Whereupon Ald Price moved that same be referred back to Ivfr Woodllwith instructions
to arrange with the City Engineer in regard to excavations under Walks and gut ters
and streets and report back to the Council before digging underilisaid walks,gutters
and streets,which was duly Sec by Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson,IJassiel,Price,Stephens,
Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion'adoptede

The final report of the Commissioners of Public Square Improvement District No 1
was filed with the City Council, whereupon Ald Harding.introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption, to -wit: 11

1 of Improvement of Public Square Improvement District Number One, be discharged
and relieved of further duty as such Board -of Improvement.
That said Public Square Improvement District be desolved and the report of
same filed with the City Council on this date be received and filed.
This was duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following result,Ayes Ald Ham,
Harding, Jackson, wassie,Price. Stephens ,idayss none,Idayor declared the motion
adopted.
