HomeMy WebLinkAbout1922-01-30 Minutes708 & -1- pl2ti WHEREAS, the Board of Assessement of Annex Number Two to East Street Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, did on the 30th day of January,1922 deposit with the CityC erk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, the assessement of Annex Number of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,duly subscribed by each of them. Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted. Ald Massie moved to deferr the hearing of the rate s of the Fayetteville Gas and Electric Co. to Febyary 24th,at 7:30 P.M. at the request of the Company and the Clerk give notice to said company of the postponement, which was duly Sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson, Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion adopted. Idoued to adjourns to meet Monday January 30th[p$ x 1922, at 7:30 P.M., motion was put and carried. Approved: Attest: o ,4; Mayor. Clerk, ADJOURNED NPLi!iTING CITY COUNCIL HELD JANAURY 30th,1922C.'', Present Mayor ,Clerk,Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. This meeting is for the purpose of taking steps in the creation of Annex No 2 to East Street Improvement District No 1 of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas. The Clerk reported to the Council that the Assessors for Annex No 2 to East Street Improvement District No l,of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, had filed the assessement for said district., whereupon Ald Stephens introduced a Resolution requiring the Clerk to cause a notice to the property owners that said assessment was so filed and open for inspection and moved its adoption, which was duly Sec by Ald Massie, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham, Harding,Jackson,Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none, L3ayor declared the resolution ado.pted and a copy is as follows, to -wit:- R E S 0 L U T I 0 N. NOCI,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETIEVILLE, ARKANSAS: SECTION ONE: That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville ,Arkansas , be, and he is hereby required to cause to be published in the " Fayetteville Democrats " a daily paper,published in the City of Fayetteville ,Arkansas , a notice stating that said assessement has been so filed by said Board of Assessors, and',that same is now subject to inspection. ` SECTION TWO: That all Orders and Resolutions in conflict,herewith,be, and the same are hereby,repealed, and this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. Mayor, The Finance Commitee handed in the reports of the ITayor,Spec Disb.Agt, whereupon Ald Harding moved that the reports be received and filed, which was duly Sec by Ald Stephens, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson, Liassi•e,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none.Mayor declared the motion adopted. The following reports was handed in to -wit: Money disbursed week ending December 17th,1921, $71.25,Week ending December 24, 1921,$29.35,Week ending December 31 1921 953.00,Week ending ffzxaxyJanuary 7,1922, $44.00,Week ending January 14,1922, 42.00,Week ending January 21,1922. $34.75. A petition was read to the Council asking that the Council take steps to open a alley through Block No 5, running from Spring to Dickson Streets,whereupon Ala Massie moved that same be referred to the City Attorney for investigation and report back to the Council, which was duly Sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham ,Harding, Jackson , Massie ,Price, Stephens ,Nayes none, Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared.the motion adopted.
