Ald Price introduced a Resolution directing the Clerk to have notice published
in some newspaper stating that the Assessement for Willow Aveneue Improvement
District No 1 was on file, and moved its adoption, which was duly -Sec by Ald

The Committee in regard to conferring with the Water Commissioners as to Mr
Ratliff taking charge of the City Water Plant reported that they had a conference
with the Commissioners and the Commssioners had taken xtksr_ the matter under
advisement, whereupon Ald Harding moved.that the xxapot report of the Committee
be received and the Rommittkax Committee be discharggd, which was duly Sec by

The minutes of the previous were read and approved.
This meeting is for the purpose of a hearing as to whether there is a majority
singed up in value asking to be annexed to EastStreet Improvement District RKI No 1.
Ald Massie moved that the Mayor appoint a Commitee to check up the figures as to
whether there is a majority in assessed valuation signed up, which was duly Sec
by A1dPrice, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding;Jackson,lAassie,
Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Mayor declared the motion
adopted and ap ted Ald Harding,Ham and Massie as the Commitee.
The Council t�a recess and the Commitee retired.
The Committee returned. and reported that there was a total Assessed valuation in
the District of the sum of $131,410.00 andthere is a Total sum of $76,580.00
signed up,making a majority signed up of the sum of $10,875.00.

No 2 to East Street Improvement District No L and moved its adoption which was

Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,on the 23rd day of March,1921,
asking that said property be created into an Improvement District,to be known
as Annex Number Two to East Street Improvement District Number One of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, said City Council of said City of Faye ttevi11e,Arkansas, did on the 6th
day of Janaury,1922,order and direct the City Clerk of said City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,to give a notice by publication for two weeks in some newspaper, issued
and having a general circulation in the City of Fayetteyille,VIashington County,
Arkansas,that such petition had been filed,and that it would be considered at
a meeting of the City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,to be held
at the Mayors Office on Tuesday January 24,1922,at 7:30 P.M.,and that all
property owners of said Improvement District might appear in said City Council
on said date and show cause for or against such annexation;
WHEEEAS, said notice was so published by said Clerk,in accordance with law; and
WH"r:R-isAS, said time for said hearing has arrived, and said hearing has been duly
and properly had;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That, after careful consideration, the City Council'of the City
of Fayetteville,Arkansas,finds that there is a total assessed valuation of
x131,410.00 of real property within said District,according to the last assesse-
ment on file in the Office of the County Clerk of Washington County,Arkansas;
and that persons signing said petition m= own real property within said
District,of the.assessed valuation of $76,580.00,according to said assessement.
SECTION TWO : That it is the finding of said City Council of said City
of Fayetteville,Arkansas,that the majority in assessed valuation of owners
of real property within Annex Number Two to East Street Improvement District
Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,have signed said petition;
and the said Rtn District is hereby duly formed by said City Council of
said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas.
SECTION THREE: In consideration of the said above mentioned petition
the said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,has been guided
by the Certificate of the Circuit Clerk of said County,as to the ownership
of said real property,and by the Certificate of the County Clerk of said
County,as to the assessed valuation of said real property.
SECTION FOUR: That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict
herewith be,and the same are hereby,repealed,and this Resolution shall be
in force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

Improvement District No 1. which was read the first time, whereupon Ald Irtassie
moved that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed upon its Second
reading which was duly Sec by Ald Stephens, resulted in the following vote

Ald Massie moved that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance be

The Clerk reported to the Council that the Assessors for Annex No 2 to East
Street Improvement District No l,of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, had filed
the assessement for said district., whereupon Ald Stephens introduced a
Resolution requiring the Clerk to cause a notice to the property owners that
said assessment was so filed and open for inspection and moved its adoption,
which was duly Sec by Ald Massie, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,
Harding, Jackson ,Massie,Price,Stephens ,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,
