Present Mayor,Clerk,Ald Harding, Jackson ,Massie ,Stephens. Absent Ald Ham,Price.
This meeting was called for the purpose of'passing'an Ordinance licensing
Dairies and other purposes.
Ald Massie introduced An Ordinance to provide for the licensing of Dairies selling
or offering for sale their products within the Corporate limits of the City of
Fayetteville,Arkansas,
which was read the first time,whereupon Ald'Massie moved that the rules be suspendEd
and the Ordinance be placed upon its second reading,which was duly Sec by Ald
Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Harding,Jackson,hlassie,Stephens,
Nayes none,Abs.ent and not voting Ald Ham,Price,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Stephens moved that the rules be further suspended -and thea Ordinance be placed
upon it.s third reading and final passage, which was duly Sec by Ald Harding,
resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Harding,Jackson,Massie,Stephens,Nayes none,
Absent and xn not vo'ing Ald Ham,Price, Mayor declared the motion adopted.
Question is now shall the Ordinance pass as read, vote was taken with the follow-
ing•result,Ayes Ald: Harding,Jackson,Massie,Pa#Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and
not voting Ald Ham,Price, Mayor declared the Ordinance duly passed and a copy is
as follows:
ORDINANCE NUMBER 442.
AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED, " AN ORDINANCE'TO PROVIDE FOR THE LICENSING OF
DAIRIES SELLING OR OFFERING FOR SALE THEIR PRODUCTS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ]�AYETT VILLE,ARKANSAS:
Section L. The word Dairy," as used in this Ordinance is meant to include,
and does include,each and every person,£irm or corporation selling or offering
R a--'-�,(for sale within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,all
W I"�''�'" or any part of any milk or cream produced from more than two (2) cows.
Section'2. From and after January lst,1922,the City license for each and every
r dairy selling or offering for sale milk or cream within the corpouate limits of
said city,shall•'be e�jtablished as follows, to -wit:
o yldairy with ten (10) or more cows, Twenty-five ($25.00)e

u,or Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars for six months.
or any dairy with less ten (10) cows,Fifteen (15.00) Dollarsper a�inum 08.00) Dollars for six months: All of such licenses "N
to be pai r} advance, and in no case to be transferable.
Section 3.'Any dairy selling or offering for sale milk or cream within the
1, corporate limits of said City,without first having obtained a City license
\so to do. which license shall be issued by the City Health Officer,shall be
4leemed guilty of a misdemeanor,and upon conviction thereof in the Police
(� Court,shall be fined in any sum not less than Ten Dollars nor more.than
U Fifteen Dollars; and each day or part thereof that any such dairy shall sell
or offer to sell any of their products in violation of this Ordinance,shall
constitute a seperate offense.
Section 4.That this`Ordinane a be in force and effect from and after January
lst,1922,and its passage,a,pppproval and publication,and all ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict hr\e`with,be and the same are hereby repealed.
