REGULAR MEETING CITY'COUNCIL_HELD NOVEMBER 4th,1921.
Present,Mayor,Clerk,Ald Ham,Harding,Massie,Price,$tephens,Absent Ald Jackson.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
Ald Harding moved that the matter of sidewalk on M aple Street be referred to
the Street Committee with power to act, which was duly Sec by Ald Massie, resulted

in the following vote Aygs Ald Ham,Harding,I,tassie,Price,Stephens„Naves none,Absent
and not voting Ald Jackson,Mayor declared the motitn adopted.
The reports of the various City Officals for the month of October were misread
whereupon Ald Stephens moved that the reports b*zs>9f* referred to the Finance
1LCommittee for investigation, which was duly Sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the
following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Massie,Price,Stephens,Nayes 'none,Absent and
not voting Ald Jackson,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
The following accts against the City fot the month of October were read,'to-wit:

Improvement District No L and moved its adoption, which was dul� Sec by Ald t$ad
Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Massie,Price,Stephens,
Nayes none,Absent and not voting Ald Jackson,Mayor declared the resolution duly
adopted and a copy is as follows:
RESOLUTION.
1VJ �WHEREAS,a Petition claiming to represent a majority in value of the
owners of real property on Davidson Street,from the East line of College Avenue
to the West line of Willow Avenue;Ydashington Avenue,from the North line of
Dickson Street to the South line of Davidson Street;Willow Avenue,from the North
line of Dickson Street to the South line of Rebecca Streot;Sutton Street, from
the East line of Washington Avenue to 'the East line of Walnut Avenue; Olive
Avenue,from the North line of Lafayette Street to the South line',of Maple Street;
Lafayette Street,from the East line of College Avenue to the West line of
Mission Avenue;and Walnut Avenue,from the North line of Sutton Street to the
South line of Maple Street was duly filed with the City Council at its regular
meeting,held Friday,January 7th,1921,asking that said property be created into
r an Improvement District,to be known as Willow Avenue Improvement District Number
One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of January,1921,the said City Council of said
City of Fayetteville,A kansas,by a -Resolution duly passed and approved,ordered
and directed the City lerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, to give notice
by publication for two weeks in some newspaper published in Fayetteville,
Washington County,Arkansas,that such petition had been filed,and would be
considered by said City Council on the 21st day of January,1921,at 7:30 P.M.

WHEREAS, Said notice was not published for the time in'the manner
required bylaw.
NOW.THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE,ARK.4NSAS:
SECTION ONE: That a hearing of said p petition to determine
whether those persons who have signed said petition constitute almajority in
value of the owners of real property situated witx in said Improvement
District,will be held by said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,at the Mayorb Office, in said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, on
Friday,December 2,1921,beginning at 7:30 P.M. of said date.
SECTION TWO: That the City Clerk of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,
be,and he is heretry ordered and directed to give notice by publication for two
weeks in some neswpaper published at Fayetteville,Washington County,Arkansas,
advising all mmyoaex owners of real property within Willow Avenue Improvement
District Dumber One of the City of Fayette'Ville,Arkansas,that a petition was
presented to said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,on
January 7,1921,requesting that the contepr4ated Improvement be undertaken,and-
that the cost thereof be charged and assessed against the real property within
said District,and that on Friday,December 2,1921,the said City Council of said
City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,will determine whether or ntx not said petition
is signed by such majority in assessed valuation.
SECTION THREE: That all orders and Resolutions in conflict herewith,
be,and the same are hereby, repealed,and this resolution shall take effect and
be in farce from and after its passage and approval.
