CITY OF F_.Y�l'P: VILLI ,.uiiviiSriS: Si CTIGiT Oil..: That there is hereby appropriated out of the Ganeral Street Fund of the City of Payetteville,Arkansas,the sum of Forty-five Hundred ('?4500.00) Dollaxs,to be used by the Board of Commissioners of Annex ITo.l.to ::ast Street Improvement District 11o.l..of the City of Fayetteville ,.Axksnsas,in permanently raving the intersections of, and otherwise permanently imnroving,all streets within said Improvement District. S`.CTIOiT 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Fayettevillet,Arkansas,be, and he is hereby,instructed to -draw ten warrants of equal amounts in favor of whomsoever said Board of Commissioners may designate,and at such time as said Board may request,not to exceed in the aggregate the -sum of ,,,4500.00. Said ten warrants shall be drawn serially,so that one -warrant shall become due and payable each year after date of issue.. This meeting .:as called for the purpose of hearing from the Representives of S.W.Bell Tel.Co. in reference to the Pole License. Before hearing from them other matters came up before the Coui:cil. The Street Committee recommended that no action be taken on thnammaTi ordering the repairs to made on the sidewalk on Block Street, 1:r.Frank Barr rias present and asked the Council to order in Concrete Curb and Gutter on one block of West Spring Street and one Block on Eorth Church Street that the majority of the properly owners dere ready to put them in. 'whereupon -ila Lassie intrd)duced the following resolution and moved its adoption to -wit: It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of FaZetteville, Arkansas, that all property owmerrs on both sides of -• ,lest Spring, atreet from Block Street to Church Street, and on both sides of Church Street',from Spring Street to Dickson Street is hereby ordered to construct and build', concrete' curbing and gutters along and in front of their respective properties within 20 days, said curbing and gutters to be -built in accordance with plans and specifications now on file and grades established by the City Engineer, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to have notices sxsezad served on all property owneres effected. *ild Harding sec the motion to adopt this resolution, vote was taken with the following result,:yes .ld Ham,Harding,i.Lassie, Price ,,Stephens ,iayesnone .nbsent and not voting Ald Jackson,1ayor declared the motion adopted. L:r.Johnson and hr i1cCall.representing the S.:J.Bell Tel Co. appeared before the Council,i.s ;.IcCall making quite lenghty talk telling how hardrup the Tel Co. andgiving figures in support of his speech protesting against the pole license and asked th t the City withdrrawr the suit now in federal court to compel the nay.ient of aid pole license, aftbrsome discussion by the Council and all -iarties present, the Council took the matter under advisement.
