follows
JIUi Rr:AS,the majority in value of the property owners owning property
adjoining the locality to be affected,and situated in Jest Lafayette Improvement
District Ilo.l. of Fayetteville,rirkansas,organized for the purpose of repairing,
aving and constructing improvements in said Improvement District,have petitioned
the City Council of the City of Fayetteville for the construction of said improvement,
as provided in the original proceedings creating said District; and
'aH:iZ:r,S; in said original petition it was prayed that the cost of said
improvement shall be assessed upon the real property of said District according to
benefits received; and
the assesse ent first levied has proved insuficient to
com_)lete the said improvement; and
fiitLriS, the Board of Improvement of said District ;have reported the
amount of the deficiency to the City Council; and
lIi Pi,LS, the City Council has passed an Ordinance known as Ordinance
Lo. 429,making an assess)oment on the property previously assessed, and ordering said
assessement,as required by law for a sum sufficient to complete the improvement; and

assessed the benefits for said additional assessements,and have duly made and entered

SL•'CTI01T 1. That the said several blocks,lots and parcels of real property in
said District be assessed according to the assessment list for said Improvement
District,as appears on said assessment list for said adOitional assessments,
and as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk,and that.12 s per
centum on each of said blocks,lots and parcels shall be paid annually on or
before the 1st day of October,in each year, until the whole of said local
additional assessment shall be paid.
S13ACTIO1; 2. The said additional local assessments shall be a charge and a lein
against all real property in said District from the date of this Ordinance,and
shall be entitled to preference over any judgements,executions,incumbrances or
liens,%yhen soever created,and shall continue until such additional 1Q&1
local assessments with all penalty and costs that may accrue thereon shall be
paid as ,required by law,and the said Board of
Improvement may,as provided by law,pledge said additional assessments upon
such terms as the law authorizes and permits.
SECTION 3. That all Ordinances in conflict herewith,are hereby repealed,
and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and publication,
as required by law.

curbing and guttering which was read the first time, whereupon Ald Harding moved
that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed upon it second reading,

I.n.H.L.Pearson appeared before the Council asking 1�= the City to go 50-50 with
the Chamber of Com.:erce for the support of City Park, after some'discussion 'Ald
Lassie moved that the Council appropriate the stun of ti?25.00 per month out of the
General Fund and the Clerk draw warrants in favor of A.L.Trent for the maintainance
of City Park and Public Camping Grounds until other wise oredered by the Council,
