The minutes of the previous meetings was read and approved.
Aid ITassie moved that the reports of the various City Officals for the month of
May tha t have been O.K. by the Finance Committee be received and filed which was
duly sec by Aid Price, resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid Ham, Llassie,Price,
Stephens,Nayes none,Absent and not voting Aid Harding,Jackson.Mayor declared the
motion adopted. The Finance Committee handed in the following reports as correct.
Police Judge Fines Col 69110.30, City Collector Genl Fund Colections }$158.00,
Street Fund Collections y140.50, City Clerk License Issued 052.75'.
Aid Price moved to allow the accounts against the City for th 1 nth of May and
Clerk draw warrants for same, that have been O.K. by the c Committee, which
was duly sec by Aid Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid Ham,zls 1-Tascie,
Price,Stephens,ITayes none,Absent and not voting Aid Harding,Jackson, L:ayor declared
the motion adopted. The Auditing Committeee handed in the following accounts as
correct:,to-wit:

Aid Massie moved that the Fire Chief be requested to furnish to the Council an
inventory of all property belonging to the Fire Dept, which was duly sec by Aid
Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Aid Ham,Liassie,Price,Stephens,Nayes none,
Absent and not voting Aid Harding,Jackson, I:,ayor declared the motion adopted.
The report of the Mayor as acting spec disb. agt was handed in, whereupon Aid
Llassie moved that the report be referred to the Street Committee, which was
duly sec by Aid Stephens, resulted in the following vote Ayes A1d Ham,!Sas ie,
Price,Stephens,Nayes none,Abeent Aid Harding,Jackson,I:layor declared the motion
adopted. The LTayor announced that Aid Eassie be appointed as Chairman of the Street
Committee, and Aid Jackson be Chairman of the Auditing Committee,
Aid I:iassie moved that the Clerk draw warrant for the sum of NO3.33 in favor of
Allan I.I.wilson as spec disb agt for month ending May 28th, which was duly see by
Aid Price, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ala Ham,Massie,Price,Stephens,
Nayes none,Absent and not voting Aid Harding,Jackson,Llayor declared the motion
adopted.
Ald i. ssie moved that the Ordinance repealing Ordinance No 411 be referred to
the meeting of June 21st an be taken up at that time and John Hayes be notified
to ap-ear, which was duly sec by Aid Price, resulted in the following vote Ayes

the motion adopted.
Kr Ap leby and I::r Reynolds Raod Commissioners -for Road District No 2. was present
and adressed the Council in regard to building through the City, after some discussion
Aid Stephens moved that -the Commissioners of Road District No 2. be instructed that
the Council will order in necessary curb and gutters on all streats affected by
the District, which was duly sec by Aid Price, re ulted in the following vote,Ayes

I.:ayor declared the motion adopted.
Aid :.:assie introduced en Ordinance authorizing the payment of Fourteen hundred
dollars for•the purchase of Fire Hose, which was read the first time, Vfhereupon
=ad Lassie moved that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed upon its
second reeding, which -was duly Sec by ald Stephens, resulted in the following vote

Jackson, :.ayor declared the motion adopted.
Aid Stephens moved that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance be placed
upon its third reading and final pas sage, which way duly sec by Aid Price, resulted
in the follo-::ing vote Ayes Aid Ham,l:Iassie,Price,Stephens,lTayes none,Absent and not
voting AlP Haiding,Jackson, Llayor declared the motion adopted.

Section 1. That the Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue to the Eureka Fire Pose Company two (2)
city warrants payable out of the Fire Fund and for the sum of Seven Hundred (000,00)
Doolars each. One of said warrants to be due an6 payable august 1`st,1921 and one to
be due and payable August lst,1922.
Section 2. That the payment authorized by this Ordinance is for the rurchase
of One Thousand feet of fire hose and was contracted for by the Board of Public
Affairs of -the City of Fayetteville,?rkanso.s.
Section 3. Tiiat this ..rdinance be in force and effect from and after its
passago,ap~roval and publication and all Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

This meeting was called for the purpose of having a hearing on the proposed Annex
Lumber One to last Street Improvement District Number One City of Payette -Ville,
'.jhereupon nld 1.assie introduce An Resolution finding that theee has been s majority
in assed valuation that have signed the petition asking the,Councii to ;nnex
all property in Annex No 1. to East Street Improvement District No,l. of the X
City of Fayettevil-e,Arkansas, and moved its adoption, which was read the first time,

of real property on Block Street, from the South line of West Dickson Street to the
_:orth line of Center Street; Center Street, from the '.lest line of Block Street to the
.est line of School Street; L.eadow Street, from the lest line of College Avenue to
the last line of Block Street, except the portion of L:eadow Street which is included
in ast Street Improvement District Number One, and Spring Street between the Gest
line of Collen-e ::venue and the -ast line of Block Street, except such portion of
Spring Street as is included in mast Street Improvement District Number One, was
duly filed with the City Council of the City of Fayettevil_e,drkansas, on the 2nd
day of July,1920, asking that said property be created into an Improvement District
to be known as Annex Number One to East Street Improvement District Number One of the
City of Fayetteville,Arkansas;

Section One. That after careful consideration, the City Council of the City
of Fayetteville,:.rkansas, finds that there is a total assessed valuation of
>l�•8,100.00 of real property within said district, according to the last assessement
on file in the Office of the County Clerk of '+:'ashington County,Arkinsas, and that
persons signing said petition own property within said district of7the assessed valuation
of Y82,510.00, according to said assessement. 11
Section Two,. That it is the finding of said City Council of said City of
Fayetteville,2irkansas, that the majority in assedsed valuatlon of owners of real
' property within Annex Number One to Last Street Improvement District Number One of
the City of Fayetteville,arkansas, have signed said petition; and the said district
is hereby duly formed by said City Council of said City -of Fayetteville,Arkansas.
Section Three: In consid:ration of the said above mentioned petition, the
said City Council of said Citi., of Fayetteville,_skansas, has been guided by the
certificate of the Circuit Clerk of said County as to the ownership of real property
and by the certificate of the County Clerk of said'i%ounty as to the assessed
valuation of said re�.l,,property.
Section Four: hat all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict, b:,
and the same are hereby, repealed, and this Resolution shall be in force and
effect from and after its pas^age and approv�7.1.
