of Voayetteville,Arkansas,are hereby appointed to constitute a Board of Assessement
of the benifits to be rece'ved by each block,lot or other subdivision of land
within said Annex iTumber One to Nast Street Improvement Djstrict ITwnber of the City
of Fayetteville.Arkansas,by reason of the proposed improvement.
SLCTICI. THRDL: That all Ordinances and part's of Ordinances in conflict herewith, be,
and the same are hereby repealed,and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in

The minutes of the previous meetings was read and approved.
A communication from the 'Fire Chief giving a list of the property of the Fire,,D�E'
Dept was read, Whereupon Aid Harding moved that same be referred to the Finance
Committee to check over,r✓nich was duly sec by Aid Price,resulted in the following
vote,Ayes Aid Ham, Harding ,i.assie,Price, Stephens ,I1ayes none,Absent and not voting
Aid Jackson,Ilayor declared the motion adopted.

the Council asking the City to help the District with an appropriation so that the
District be paved, giving figures on the width of the different streets, after some

over 0750.00 per annum b:: granted for a period of 10 years, which"was duly sec

The reports of the various City Officals for the month of June was read whereupon
Aid Harding moved that the reports beg referred to the Si-ance Committee which

Light Comittee,.
The Light Committee recomended that a light be put in on 'gall Street at the Frisco
Viaduct,and on Forrest Avenue and I.aple Street and 3 lights placed on the Ornamental
poles on Dickson Street, which was duly sec by aid Lassie, motion was put and carried.
i.;r S.Holland was present and requested t permission from the Council to enstall
a Phone for the Taxi Stand on Dickson Street, Aid Lassie moved that the same be
referred to the Mayor with power to act, which was duly sec by Aid Price, resulted

and not voting Lld Jackson,Mayor declared the motion adopted.
The report of the Acting Street Commissioner,e' was handed in by the Street Committee

RESOLUTION.
1,71-MREAS, the Commissioners of feel District Number Two of,', Washington County,
Arkansas,will,at a aaearl4y date,begin paving certain Streets within the Corporate
limits of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,which are included in the route laid
out for said above mentioned road in said Road Improvement District Number Two;
14 REAS, said Commissioners of said Road Improvement District Number Two are
not able,and do not intend,to lay the necessary curbs and gutters along the sides
of said Streets; and
VMREAS, it is highly necessary,for the protection of said Streets,that curbs
and gutters be properly constructed along either side of said Streets;

hereby, required to so construct said curbing and guttering within thirty days from
the date of the passage of this Re solution.
SECTION TVIO; If the owners of any property abutting on any of the above
mentioned Streets,shall fail or refuse to comply with the provisions 'of this '
Resolution,in the manner and form,and within the time ham herein prescribed,
the said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,may >mastmasicontract with some suitable
person for the construction of said curbing and guttering,and shall let said work
to the lowest bidder,after having given a ten days notice by publication in some
newspaper published in the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,of an intention to do so
when said contract is so let. The amount paid by said City for said work,together
with the 6 per centum penalty added thereto,shall be charged against the owner of
said property,and shall be,and constitute a lien on said.property from the date of
the commencement of said work. '
SECTION THREE: The Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, shall caused
to be issued and served,a notice,warning all property owners on said above mentioned
Streets,of the passage of this Reeolution.
SECTION FOUR: That all Orders or Resolutions in conflict herewith,be, and
the same are hereby repealed,and this RR Resolution shall take effect and be in
force,from and after its passage and approval.

REGULAR LEETING CITY COUNDIL HELD JULY 15th,1921.

I.s.H.S.Price was present and adressed the Council asking fo-r a donation for the
sup ':ort of City Park ,after some discussion Ald Lassie moved that the Layor appoint
a Committee to investigate the conditions at the Park and report back at the next
meeting, which was duly Sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald
Ham,Hardin_g,I.Iassie,Price,Stephens,ITayes none,Absent and not voting nun Ala Jackson,
Layer declared the motion adopted and appointed Ald Hardina,Ham and Lassie as the
Committee.
Ald Ham moved to authorize the I.Iayor to have Sidewalks constructed on the inter-
secting streets on the iia Huntsville Road and across Rock Street on South Block Street,
which was duly Sec by Ald Massie, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ham,Hardir_g,
I.iassie,Price,Stephens,Ilayes none,Absent and not voting Ald Jackson,Iayor declared t
the motion adopted.

built for Dr.Hathcock on Highland Ave, same had been approved by the City Engineer

asking for permit to build same, whereupon Ald Price moved that the permit ba

Ald Harding moved that a permit be granted to Preston Smith to drive an Automobile
within the City limits, which was duly Sec.by Ald Price, resulted in the following

Ald Jackson,T.ayor declared the motion adopted.

declared the motion adopted.
