upon its third r-ading and final passage, which was duly bee by Aid Jackson,

Section One: That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person,firm

street within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville,Atkansas,

said l.ayor and City Council,such permit.

any circumstances issue any such permit until said applicant shall have deposited
J '(lei r,ith the City Treasurer a cash bond, for the purpose of guaranteeing the

was dug into by the said apllicar_t, said cash bond bxx shall be in any amount
iced by the City Engineer of the City of Fayetteville,Arkensas,'not less than
VV Fifty (5x50.00.) Dollars, nor more than One Thousand (4'1000.00) Dollars.
Section Tuo: If any person,fi-rrn or corro-ration shall so aig into such
s.reet, the same shall be repaired by such person,firm or corporation, at
his orm proper expense,and in a manner to be approved by the City ngineer of
tti�ct� the City of Fayetteville,r_rkansas. Provided, when such repairing is so made
and approved and paid for,then the said City 1.ngineer shall authorize the
City Treasurer to pay back to said applicant the sum so deposited by hint,
less the fee of the City Engineer to be fined by the City Council. In case
s -id applicant shall fail,refuse nor neglect to repair said street,then
in that event the said City of Fayetteville,or its designated agent, shall
repair said street,paying for same out of the money so deposited by said
applicant,with said city treasure-r,and the balance of the money,if any,
sh.11 then be returned by said City Treasurer to said applicant.
Section Three: Any Person,firm or corporation v violating any
of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor

Hundred (N100.00) Doolars nor more than One Thousand (1,x1000.00) Dot ars.

Aid Ham moved that the Board of Improvement of ;:ast Street Improvement of
:cadet Street Irnnrovement District iTumber One is advised that the Council will
pass the necessary Ordinances,resolutions or orders to order Property olmers
to construct curbs and gutters in the District, which was duly sec by Ald
Irice, resulted in the following vote Ayes :-1d Ham,Hardin, , Jackson ,Price,
tenhens ,::ayes A.1d, !.lassie ,_ bsent and not voting none ,L:ayor declared the
motion adopted.
A communication from the liayor. in regard to the City Finances was read, whereupon

The unit prices as estimated are intended to cover tux the complete cost of
the pavement including curbing and gutter.
The following estimate is intended to cover all material and labor
which will be required for the construction of xx an asphaltic macadam
pavement (pentration method ) on a broken stone base. The base shall have
a consolidated thickness of 6 " inches and the top shall be 3 " in thickness
including the seal coat. i
