Present i.ayor,Clerk,Ald Ham;Harding,Jaakson,l.assie,Price ,Stephens;,.
Ir.Baltfell o* the Frisco was present and addressed the Council asking that the
Council defer steps in the Station matter until the General .Lanager who would be
in the City the following week and go over the situation with th6 people and the
Council. by consent Council agreed. to Lir Baltzells request.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
I.s.R.E.Wages was present and submitted plans and specifications asking for a permit
to build a house on 'Jest i.aple Street. ,'Thereupon Alat i,assie moved' that the Council
grant permit to 1."r 71ages, which was duly sec by Ala Ham, resulted in the following
vote Ayes Ald Ham,Harding,Jackson,Llassie, Price, Stephens,Eayes none,Absent and not
voting none,Liayor declared the motion adopted.
Jeff Amos was present and asked the CotuZcil for permission to put in a pole for a
telephone on Block Street, whereupon Ald Harding moved that the permit be granted
�IIEa- 1n3 and the pole be placed under the supervision of the City Engineer, which
was duly sec by Ald Isassie, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Hamq,114rding,
Jackson ,Lassie ,Irice,Ste-ohens,Hayes none,Absent and not voting none,I.ayor declared
the motion adopted.
The resignation of DT.C.B.Paddocl: vies read to the Council,whereupon Ald Ham moved
that the Council accepts the resignation of Dr.Paddock which vies duly sec by Ald
Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Hem,Harding,Jackson,I,assie,Price,
Stephens,hayes none,Absent and not voting none,I.ayor declared the motion adopted.
A communication from the Board of Health recommending the appointment of Dr.A.S.
Gregg as City Health Officer and Jay Shelley as Sanitary Policemen vias read to
the Council,

The resignation of Dr.Gregg as a member of the Board of Health.was read, wliereupon
Ald Harding moved that the resignation of Dr.Gregg be accepted which was duly
sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ala Ham, Harding, Jackson ,I.a.ssie,
Price,Stephens,I[ayes none,Absent and not voting none,Liayo-r declared the motion
adopted.

Ald :.Iassie.movea that the appointment be confirmed, which was duly sec by Ald

Ald Pricj moved that ';1.L.Crouch be employed to collect the Street Taxes for 10 0110
which was duly sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ala Ham,
Harding,Jackson,::assie,Price,Stephens,iayes none,Absent and not voting none,
I.ayor declae-ed the motion adopted.
The matter of employing an assistant day policeman was brouth up a±3S!t after some
discussion, Ald Ham moved that the matter be deferred until the next regular
me ting which vies dull* sec by Ald :_ascie , motion carried.

Section 1. That from and after the passage of this Resolution, the City Clerk be and
he is hereby directed to cause to be served upon the several owners of real property
abutting on the North side of Dickson Street, between ',rest Street and School Street,
to fill any and all openings, vents or air passages in their said siaevalks with
cement, in a manner to be approved by the City Engineer of the City of Fayetteville,
within ten (10) days from the date of service of such notice, under penalty of
Ordinanceu made and provided for the enforcement of orders directing the construction
or repair of side•,>alks.
Section 2. That the Resolution be in force from and after its passage and approval.
