The minutes of the previous meetings was read and approved. Ald Harding moved that the Clerk draw a warrant in favor of A.Id.Byrnes for the sum of 0600.00 in payment of the rent of the Wagon Yard for the year ending April lst,1922, which was duly sec by Ald '+ !ages, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding.ila.ssie,Stephens,Ciages,isayes none,absent and not voting none,I:;ayor declared the motion adopted. Ald Harding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, to -wit: W lck-iaqA WHER1:AS, upon request of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, the Arkansas Railroad Commission set April 14,1921, as the date for a hearing on the question of requiring the St.Louis-San Francisco Railway Company to build a new depot in the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas; and .`J'ERE."S, the said St .Louis -San Francisco Railway Company ,through the prover officals, has asked for time to submit to the said City Council of the said City of Fayetteville a proposition with reference to th= this matter; RESOLUTION. That the Arkansas Railroad Commission be respectfully requested to'postpone said hearing for a period of thirty days, in order that the said City of Fayetteville may be more fully informed as to what the said St.Louis- San Francisco Railway Company proposes to do in the premises. That the City Engineer of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, be, and he is hereby requested and directed to establish the _proper location for all Telephone and Electric light poles on South Block Street, from Ilounatin Street to South Street. Section 2. That when said locations have been so made, the saidi-mmrCity Engineer be further requested and directed to notify the Southwestern Bell Telephone Comapny and the Fayetteville Gas & Electric Light Company that said locations have been so made, and that they, each of them, are requested to erect their _Doles in accordance with said locations. It shall be the duty of said Digester to prepare a manuscript of said Digest and to submit the same to the City Council for its approval. After said manuscript has been approved by said City Council,it shall be the duty of said Digester to supertend the printing of said Digest, so far as to read and mark the proof sheets', furnished by the printer to be employed by said City Council, while the work is in course of publication. The question of esALA tablishing of grades on Forrest Avenue came before the Council whereupon Ald L-]assie moved that the City Engineer be instructed to establish a grade on Forrest revenue for sidewalks, which was duly sec by Ald Harding, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,I:assie,Stephens, •:;ages ,ITayes none,.:bsent and not voting none ,1 ayor declared the motion adopted. Plans and specifications was presnted to the Council asking for a permit to build by Tony Sowder,whereupon Ald Harding moved that the Council gr=ant a permit to Ls Sowder to build with the provision that he build his flues from the ground up, which :as duly see by Ala Ilassie, resulted in the following vote,Ayes Ald Ambrose ,Ham.Haraing.I.iassie,Ste-nhens,71ages,?Tayes none,Absent and not voting none,i:ayor declared the motion adopted. -The minutes of the previous meetings was read and approved.
