Present I.layor,Ald Ambrose ,Ham,Harding.Massie,Stephens,i,ages.Absent Clerk.
Ald Harding moved that Ald Massie act as clerk which was duly sec•by Ald Wages,
motion was put and carried.
The minutes of the previous meetings was read and approved.
&1r.Roy Vickers was present and presented plans and specifications for a bungalow
he wanted to build,whereupon Ald wages moved that a permit be pxx granted to Irlr
Vickers to build, which was duly sec by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote,Ayes
Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,liassie,Stephens,I'/ages,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,
Kayor declared the motion adopted.
A Communication from M;Ir.Ratliff City Engineer was read in regard to a proposed annex
to the Vetanary Hospital with incomplete plans and specifications was presented to the
Council, after somo.discussion the matter was postponed to a later meeting.
Mdc.['lhitford°ras present and presented the matter of a bill for bedding burned follow
ing a case of infectious disease which he holds against the City.
Whereupon Ald M7assie moved that the Miayor appoint a Special Committee to look up the
matter, which was duly see by Ald wages, resulted in the following vote,Ayes Aid
Ambrose,Ham,Harding,Mlassie,Stephens,Vlages,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,
Mayor declared the motion adopted and appointed Ala Massie ,Ambrose ,Vlages as the committee.
The reports of the City Officals for the month of February was read,whereupon Ald
Harding moved that the reports be referred to.the Finance Committee which was duly see
by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,Mlassie,
Stephens.Wages,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,I0Iayor declared the motion adopted.
The accounts against the City for the month of February was read,whereupon Ald
Harding moved that they be refereed to the Auditing which was duly sec by Ald
'17ages, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,I¢Iassie,Stephens,
'llages,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,Miayor declared the motion adopted.
Ald Harding introduced An Ordinance to prohibit drunkness within 'the city of Fayetteville
which was read the first time, whereupon hld Harding moved that the rules be
suspended and the Ordinance be placed on its second reading, which was duly sec by
Ald Wages, resulted in the following vote,Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,Irlassie,
Stephens,Glages,Nayes none,Absent and not voting inone.Ilayor declared the motion
adopted. Ala Harding moved that the rules be further suspended an"d the Ordinance
be placed upon its third reading and final passage, r=tka which was duly sec
by Ald Ham, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,Lla.ssie,
Stephens,?'lages,Nayes none,Absent and not voting none,iviayor declared the motion
adopted.
Question is now shall the Ordinance pass as read, vote was taken with the following
result,Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,MTassie,Stephens,Ylages,Nayes none,Absent and not

CORPORATE LIIIITS OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS ".
Be; IT ORIAI14-ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYET'TEVILLE,ARKAi•ISAS:
Section 1. That any person or persons, who shall ap4:ear at any public gathering
of any kind, or at any public place, pr upon any public highway,street,alley,
sidewalk, ark or thoroughfare, within the corporate limits of Fayetteville,Arkansas,
in a drunben or intoxicated condition shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
�! upon conviction thereof,shall be fined not less than Ten ($10,00) Dollars nor more
,,,.,vsthan Twenty-five (25,00) Dollars,
Section 2. It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police,or any patrolman, or night watch
Lwho shall see or have knowledge of any person violating the provisions of this
Ordinance to arrest such} person, and take him before the Police Judge of the City
of Fayetteville,Arkansas,to be dealt with according to the provisions of this
tVordinance.
Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and,
the same are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect, and be in
force from and after its passage, approval and publication.
