REGULAR i.r TRIG CITY COUTCIL IfdLD FEBRUARY 4th,1921.
Present Layor,Clerk,Ala Ham,Harding,I.Iassie,Stephens,'�7ages,Absent Aid Ambrose.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read but not approved on account of objection
being raised having certain petitions copied therein and Clerk was directed to
rewrite them,
rr.Hope was present and asked permission of the Council to erect a pole on West
i.iountain.Street opposite of the '.ashington Hotel for a telephone for a Taxi
Stand, whereupon Aid I.iassie moved that the permission granted which vvrzls duly sec
by Aid Ham, resutled in the following vote Ayes rld Ham, Harding ,Lassie,Stephnens,
1ages,Na yes none,Absent and not voting Aid Ambrose.1.ayor declared„the motion adopted.
The reports of the various City Officals for the month of January was read whereupon
Ald Harding moved that the reports be referred to Finance Committee for investigation
which was duly sec by Aid '::ages, resulted in the following tiote Ayes ald Ham,Harding,
.Lassie,Stenhens,.. gec,I?ayes none,Absent and not voting Aid Ambros.,I.iayor declared
the motion adopted.
The followin accounts ag ainst the City for the month of January was read, to -crit:

Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,_,rl:ansas.
That, the City Clerk mmi be and he is hereby directed to issue snotices to
owners of property situated on both sides of South Block Streit between
I:iou_ntain Street adid South Street to lay concrete gutters a.1d t11J o a-crs of property
on the Vloct side of the Street between Rock Street and South Street to lay concrete
sidewalks according thmx to the City specifications..
Passed and approved this 4th d ay of February,1921.

Ald Iasaie made the following motionr;: That the City Collector be and he is hereby
directed to charge to the City '.later Plant 5,752.43 paid to 7I.S.Duggans on November
22,1920, for street plwmbing,also to charge to the proper Improvement Districts
the sum of ,,260.00 paid to G.A.Hurst for Stenographers for work done and in
connection therewith, said warrant was issued to G.A.Hurst on January 19,1921,

Also to investigate rent of City Scales by Srielser E.iEason and collect same

Ald assie moved that the ,ttorney be instructed to bring suit against the SaWe
Bell Tel.Coo to collect the Pole license due the City under the License Ordinance,
which was duly sec by Aid 'lages,resulted in the following vote,Ayes Aid Ham,Harding,
Ilassie,Stephens ,'.-lages,Ilayes none,Absent and not voting Ald Ambrose,L;ayor declared
the motion adoptedo

Aid Lassie introduced an Ordinance repealing Section 7 of Ordiance No 402, which ,•✓as
read the f#xxsxtfirst time, whereupon Aid Harding moved that the rules be sus ended
and the Ordinance be placed upon its second reading, which was duly„sec by Aid 'r,assie
resulted in the following vote,Ayes Aid Ambrose ,Ham ,Harding , assie.Stephens, llages,
Iiayes none,"bsent and not voting none,I.1 yor declared the motion adopted, Ala Lassie
moved that the rules be further suspended and the Ordiance be placed upon its third

An Ordinance repealing section seven of Ordinance Number 402.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Fayet.teville,=rkansas, That section seven (7)
of Ordinance ITo 402 passed and approved on 1.la.-rch 20th,1920, be and the same are
hereby repealed.

The Street light Contract is about to expire according to a letter from the Light Co
which was read to the Council,Ald Harding moved that same be referred to the Light
Committee, which was duly sec by Ald Tassie, same was carriedo iloved- and carried to
