The minutes of the previous meeting eras read and approved.
the reports of the various City Officals for the month of September was read, whereupon
Ald Harding moved that the reports be referred to the Finance Committee for investigation,
which was duly sec by Ald Stephens, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,
Ham,Harding,I„assie,Stephens,Fiages,iiayes none,Absent and not voting none, Mayor declared
the motion adopted.

The following accounts against the City for the month of September was read to -wit;
J.H.Phipps Lbr.Co. '13.9O.W.L.Crouch y6.20,City Transfer Co.$5.00,17.R.Moore 019.501
Fay Gas & Elect.Co.�,253.95,E.B.Ragsdale $48.00.
Vhereupon Ald Harding moved that the accounts bexrmffem referred to there
Auditing Committee for investigation except E.B.Ragsdale and Clerk draw a warrant
in favor of Ragsdale for the sum of 5'48.00 on the Genl Fund, which was'duly sec by
Ald ',/ages, resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose, Ham, Harding ,Massie ,
Stephesn,Ciages,I?ayes none,Absent and not voting none,I,;ayor declared the motion
adopted.
Ald'i.assie moved that the Clerk draw a warrant on the General Fund for the sum of
)368.00 in favor of the Street Fund in order to have the funds properly accounted
for on account of error of City Collector in placing funds., which was duly sec by
Ald Ambrose, resulted in'the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,Ham,Harding,I.assie,
Stephena,71ages,Nayes tione,ybsent and not voting none,1-.;ayor declared tle iaotior. adopted.
I.Ioved and carried to adjourne to meet Friday October 8th,1920 to take up the Willow
Street Improvement District Petition and to appoint To Commissioners for East Lafayette
Avenue Improvement District No. 1.,. '

xx CALLED I.IGETING CITY COUNCIL HELD OCTOBER 4th,1920.
Present IJayor,Clerk,Ald Ambrose ,Ham, Harding,I:4assie,Stephens ,Vlages.
This meeting was called for the purpose of taking up matter pertaining to the Public
Square Improvement District Number One.
Lir.J.H.UcIlroy on e of the Com.issioners was present and addressed the Council'in regard
to the crater connections to be replaced in the buildings on the Public Square.
After some discussion Ald Wages moved that the City stand the expense of putting in
a inch and one quarter pipe line, running thence East from Block Street to the Giest
line of IScIlroy's Property and From Center Street thence through the alley to the
North line of Campbell & Bell's Building, tax from Mountain Street through the
alley to the South line of the Price Clothing Co Store,frob Block Street through
the alley East to the West line of the Stone Building, and On L4o-omtain street
from the blain on the Square East to the line of alley, thence North through to
Center Street.
This motion was duly see by Ald Ham,resulted in the following vote Ayes Ald Ambrose,
Ham ,Harding ,L'lassie, Stephens ,Viages,Nayes none,Absent and not venting none,A2a.yor
declared the motion adopted.
No further business coming before the Cou4cil,moved and carried to adjourne.
