The regular order of buieness was then set aside to receive the report of the ' Board of Commissioners of West -Lafayette Avenue Improvement-DYetrict"-No:r. L The Board of Commissioners of West Lafayette Avenue Improvement District No.IJ,then - reported-that-they,had formed a -plan -for the paving,of'said-d-istrict and ---had ascertained- - `- the coat thereof,and filed re##### report stating said estimate of cost to which was Attached_a - 'blue print- show _ing_the-_plan- od_proposed- paving, which -r.epor-t.-_is-as- follows, ;----------------- REPORT OF'BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WEST LAFAYEI'TE AVENUE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER ONE. -FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS, DECEMBER 7th I9I7. - Y ----To -THE HONORABLE -MAYOR AND -THE -CITY -"COUNCIL; --- FAYETTEVILE,ARK. --- ----S IRS;— - - — -- — - - --- - -- We,the Board of Commissioners of West Lafayette Avenue Improvem _ ant District No.I,of Fayetteville Arkansas-,herw.ith- submit- the -plan --of• the —proposed-pavemen I- - N and the estimate of the cost of the same. We have employed as engineers for theproposed improveraent,Wintere and Dove _of_Ft, I, Smith. They have made their surveys and the plans and estimates As submitted are based on - J - the surveys. The plan of the paving is attached herewith and marked "Exhibit A" to *hie -- - - - - - report. - - - -- - - - -- -- The plana contemplate# the laying a pavement of asphaltic macadam having a total thick ---ness-of - 9- inches -The -wearing -surf ace. -that -i -s-, the -part-treated with asphalt -paving cement-, - - will have a thickness of 3 inches. Concrete curb and gutter will be built along all the -_paving. _Returns _hav_ing-as -long -radii -as-the__wid.ths-of- the -intersect in streets will will be built at all corners to g' permit- i , provide for the safety df traffic. Ample culverts and drains are planned to take care of all storm water that finds its-way_„to the street.
